getting a watch..i just don't know which one!

i just went to the jewelry store with my mom and ohmy they had all three brands i'm interested in.
my heart was very set on the chanel but once i got to try on the cartier and the rolex...everything changed.
much to my surprise, i ended up liking the a rolex lady datejust. it's 2 toned, steel and 18k gold. had a fluted bezel and diamond markers. the msrp is around $8640 but i talked them down to $7380. she said that if i was serious and ready to buy today she would consult the manager for a deeper discount. my guess is ill be able to get it for $6900 including tax.
i tried on the cartier santos and it just didn't have the oooo lala effect and none of the other cartiers caught my eye and the others are just way out of my price range.
another rolex i really liked was one with a salmon backing, it was all steel without diamonds.
i also tried on the chanels but decided it's definitely very trendy. i still really like the black one but i think i want to get a classic watch before i get this one, if i do ever get it.
so i'm trying to decide between those two rolexes. here's the lady datejust i really liked. i can't seem to find the other one anywhere online..
now i know where i'll be going to get the watch considering they have everything AND offer a discount.
BTW if anyone intends on getting a cartier, the next price increase is February 1st. Their last one was in September 07. The lady was really nice and showed me the fax she received from HQ letting them know prices are going up again.

Great Choice fashionispoison! I ended up LOVING the Rolex ladies datejust with diamond dial much more in person also and that what I ended up getting!! I got the diamond mop dial. The pic you posted look like a MOP face? I LOVE the mop but it adds A LOT to the price but it was worth in imo! I think the 2 tone with diamond dial and MOP is around $9995. Which dial did you look at in the store? I am guessing maybe white from the price you quoted. If it were me, I would go with the diamonds, it really makes the watch so much prettier imo but you can always upgrade to get the diamodn dial later through Rolex.

Great choice!!! I just got the Rolex Date-Just for my birthday. I got the midsize, with MOP dial and diamond bezel. The price was about $ 9,000. Rolexes are always classic and elegant, and never go out of style. GOOD CHOICE!!!
