Thank you Lily. I came across this ebay seller that has some very nice fox collars. Her shorter ones seem to be about 20" long so I think they might work out nicely. She has other lengths as well and racoon collars too -

Lilyhermes...what have you started !! I am reasonably capable with needle and thread..SO... only today found a fabulous fox collar on ebay !!! Once it arrives with your guide pattern I shall be all fingers and thumbs stitching away !! IF a success all thanks to YOU !! :tup:

What's so funny about all of this, mou mou, is that it got started last December (when it was cold.) You can't imagine my surprise to see it surface again in the heat of August. But, at least everyone will have their fur scarf collar done before the snow flies.:D

It's so easy - it you can thread a needle, you're more than half way home. Be sure and let us see what it looks like when finished. A fur collar should be stunning on you.

Hello ALL , does anyone have the measurements of this fur collar... length,width. Like SO many others on the forum I am attempting my own version !! Thanks to 'lillyhermes'. A year on and the idea still seem fabulous!! Many thanks, hope someone has the info,and any more pics. of the genuine or inspired would be great to view !!!:smile1:

I'm sorry that I don't, mou mou, and unfortunately ranag is no longer posting. Seems to me that it was about 20-21" though. You might try sending mistikat a PM, as I seem to remember her saying that she had seen the collar at Hermes.

Hi lillyhermes...well here with certain modifications my first effort !! I now understand how Hermes justify prices for their hand stitched items !!:yahoo:
