I recently stumbled over the dutch brand Frrry, which was recommend in another forum for its durability. As I was curious by the description I took a look at the brand and fell in love with some of its design.
In the past weeks I ordered two bags and really enjoy them, so I thought the brand deserves an own thread to chat about. Or at least I hope there are others who enjoy the brand and would love to chat about it!

The first bag I fell in love with was the owl. I like how whimsical it looks, like smooshy, but yet functional for me. Functional for me means, that it has least medium size and I need to fit at least an umbrella into it.
This is the owl in the color mist (bluegrey). I really really love this color and the leather! It is thick and luscious and feels supersturdy! The designer does not use a lining, but double sided finished leather. Initially I was not sure how that will look and feel like, but the leather inside is feels great. This bag has detachable shoulder straps, so I can wear it crossbody, on the shoulder, but it also looks sooo cute with the short handles, which can be stuffed inside and then you get a clutch. I was so happy with this one I ordered me another bag from that brand for work, which I will post about later!

Are there other fellow tpfler here who owns a Frrry bag?

The second bag I ordered was the Wednesday bag. I wanted a bag for work which would fit DIN A4 papers and was big enough to fit my other daily essentials like coin purse, computer mouse, umbrella, necessity pouch, my lunch etc., but which still looks professional and chic, e.g. for conferences.
I emailed the designer, who is very nice and fast in answering whether the bag opening would be wide enough to easily store DIN A4 papers, which he confirmed as he said the openings even go around the corners, so that should not be a problem. I was sold. Bag came superfast and I have been using it the past week and love it!
Leather is supersturdy, that bag fits a ton (I took it this weekend as a overnight bag and it fits all my stuff without looking overstuffed!) and just looks great!

You can tell the brand got a really new found fan. Look at that leather and its finish, I love how fantastic it looks and feels and how usable those bags are, while being super reasonably priced.
I love many of my other designer bags (my thing are old Celine, LV, old Marc Jacobs, Balenciaga and recently Loewe), but some really are not too practical because of things like not optimal openings, weight or size (for my own preferences) even when I bought them because I love their design. These two from Frrry really fulfill lots of my expectations without me initially expecting it. As a long time bag collector and bag lover, I am impressed, so I needed to share.

Oh wow, I love this blue/grey color! I'm the one who asked you about your bag in the OOTD thread. I went online to check them out. Do they ship to the US? Thanks for sharing your love for these bags!!

You are welcome! Yes, the bluegrey is sooo beautiful, isn‘t it? Frrry does ship internationally (customs might come extra though for non-EU). I remember they have a retailer in the US: https://roztayger.com. Not sure if there are more, as I am EU based.
This bluegrey color unfortunately is an older collection color, so it is not available on their main webpage anymore (I emailed them about it)… I went on a websearch and hunted this one down at the online shop of Oona Paris. I saw a longer version of this bag in this color at their site though!

@afroken asked me for modeling pics in another thread. Probably it is also helpful to post them here again…

I filled the owl bag with an umbrella, coin purse, passport, airpods, pack of tissue paper and a mini bottle of desinfectant, which still left alot of space. Because umbrella is a bit more heavy, it sacks a bit more than without umbrella. I am 5“2‘ for reference plus a few cm for the heels.

If they come out with the Collapse Day in black (or purple ) I will buy it immediately.
If you email Ferry/Frrry, you can try and request for Black leather. I think he has the more pebbled version or smoother. I ordered a Cube from him but wanted it in vegetable tanned leather and he custom-made it for me. ❤️ Just opened up the package this morning but still here at work so I’ll add pics to this thread a bit later.

Thank you @fettfleck for starting this thread. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t know about this wonderful bag designer!

Here’s my first Frrry bag. It’s the Cube but made in vegetable tanned leather, with “notifications”, extra shoulder strap and a matching Berry coin case.

I was scrolling here one night and saw @fettfleck posting about his bags so I checked out his website. I’m mainly a vintage Bal gal, but was craving something different. I was also experiencing luxury bag fatigue (feels like everything is becoming same/same) and can’t deal with $$$$ price points these days.

I reached out to Ferry to ask about the availability of this specific leather since I’ve been wanting a Vachetta leather bag for a while. I did put in a few requests to make it “mine”, by removing the internal pocket... instead he made the matching coin case. And he added the shoulder strap, same as the bigger version (Pumpkin). I agonised if I should order it sooner or if I should wait until after my vacation. Nah, don’t like the waiting game so I ordered it March 10th and it arrived yesterday, the 16th. He actually completed making the bag in a day and shipped straight away via DHL, from the Netherlands to Sydney. A total wait of 6 days (!) and just in time for my overseas holiday this weekend. Talk about quick fast.

I’m super happy how it turned out. The size is great for just running around. Dare I say that it’s a bit weird cute. I can’t wait for it to patina and for the leather to even have more character. The craftsmanship is there and the price point is awesome. But what made this even better was how easy it was to work with Ferry. I like how he is about design, functionality and fun. I plan on getting more of his bags this year... Just have to decide what’s next. But whatever it may be, it’s gonna be another fun project.
