Actually I mistakenly put I was seeking a black with GHW its actually black with PHW that I'm after and don't seem to see many on the pre-loved market (where I'm looking to buy)
Were the blacks mainly made with GHW?
Also would you say its a pretty durable bag? I'm not precious with my bags and I want something I can just use without fear of damage.
I would assume the Swift flap must get scratched up but how about the handles?
are they ok ?
Its so hard because they never have any in the boutique to try so I'm trying to guesstimate how it will work/look on me (I think I'll go for a 29 due to the strap option)

My black 35 has GHW and the other one offered to me at Sevres was also black with GHW but togo, not clemence. And, the leather on both the flap and the handles looks fine though I've only had it for a few months. I had asked for a 29 as I wanted a strap but they only had a 35 and I loved it on sight. Guess I'll have to consider a Kelly now or, perhaps, as with the OP, a 29 will simply appear in my life

i find the bag quite squishy which I love. I have a 2 year old child who throws this bag around a lot and has no care for it at all. I find it extremely durable as I see no damage. I think I have a scratch or two on the flap from my own nails ! No issues with the handle whatsoever. This is my most used bag since summer and I believe will get more use than any B/K that I own.

I can’t answer about the hardware as mine is PHW. I never buy PHW but this was a birthday gift. Initially the hardware bothered me but not anymore after seeing what a useful bag it is.

I've recently started to consider a 24/24 in 29 (thanks to @tinkerbell68 looking so damn cool with hers) as an alternative to a Birkin (which I feel is now too 'recognisable' for my aesthetic)
I must ask those who own it, is it easy to get in and out of?
And I'm finding it tough finding one in black with GHW, I dont have a preference for hardware in K or B because to my mind the hardware is less of a statement on those.
But with the 24/24 the hardware is so big that the gold looks too bling against the black for my personal taste...am I correct in thinking that few were made in black with PHW???

Today I actually got to try a 24/24 in 29cms at the boutique....And I'm surprised to say It really didn't make my heart sing !
The reasons...
The thin strap just didn't seem to look right on the bag..(The SA added that I could add a different thicker strap but I wouldn't want to pay a lot of money on top of the bag's cost in order to have a wider strap.)
The bag in 29 didn't have the slouchy feel I liked when I saw it on @tinkerbell68 post or as it looks on @maplenight.
In fact it resembled the proportions of a B30 on me (unsurprising when you think there's 1cm difference..DOH!) which I dont like. It feels neither a handbag nor a real tote.
I also hated the way the bag hung out from the straps..kind of tilted.
Other Cons...small opening I thought it would somehow open more widely than it did.
Closure....The SA kindly let me open and close the display bag several times at first I just couldn't get it right and thought it would just annoy me too much-eventually I did get the hang of it but somehow supporting the lower flap to align the opening and then pushing down.
SO....I have now decided I would want the bag in a 35 and use it as a tote rather than a shoulder bag.
Also despite being unfused about HW on B & K I really felt the Hardware on the 24/24 being so large would be better in silver if I buy it in black.
This is somewhat long winded (aren't all my posts?! ) But It showed me the value of finding a bag to try where possible in the boutique if like me you are planning to buy on the Pre-loved market.
I would have pulled the trigger on the 29 had I not had a helpful SA who let me try it out despite knowing i was looking on the second hand marketplace.

Just to make the 35 even more appealing, at least re it’s potential for slouch, @maxroxxherhandbags , I thought I’d share this pic from the afternoon I bought it in Paris…looks like it had a few too many aperitifs

out of interest what leather is your bag? The one I tried was in clemence but they black read more grey/navy even though the SA assured me it was black it looks black from a distance but close up it was definitely not as black and sumptuous as yours.. yours looks almost glossy

out of interest what leather is your bag? The one I tried was in clemence but they black read more grey/navy even though the SA assured me it was black it looks black from a distance but close up it was definitely not as black and sumptuous as yours.. yours looks almost glossy

Mine is clemence/swift. I was also shown a black togo/swift but it was not as slouchy as the clemence version. I could definitely see the swift pulling a bit grey but as a whole it is definitely noir.

BTW, the 29 looks cute on you in the pics though I think I'd be annoyed if it hung oddly due to the strap being attached on the back. I've never seen a 29 in the flesh so I defer to your expertise so to speak.

I love love 24/24 that I bought it two sizes (mini and next size up). The mini is too cute and my most recent purchase! Blue sapphire with gold hardware. The strap is versatile cause I can wear it a couple of ways!

Hi sadly I haven't got to try the larger size Which would definitely be the one I'd go for, I loved the idea of the strap which is why I thought initially I'd buy the 29 BUT the strap attaches somehow in the middle at the back of the bag and the bag tips forward-It just seemed unbalanced so for me aesthetically so hand-held would be the way to go!

Have just bought a 35 in Faubourg barenia to use as a work bag as it fits my laptop. For those that have a 35 how do you find it as a daily user? Does it get heavy or awkward to use with just the top handle? Need to decide whether to return or keep. Love the slouchy cool vibes it gives off.
