VannyVanBod, this style looks stunning on you! I was previously drawn to it due to it's east west orientation and slouchy-ness but with seeing your mod shots, wow, this just looks beautiful on you! I like seeing a handbag in the crook of your arm, this suits you!
BagLoversgg011, lovely pen holder! I adore mine and carry it with me every day since receiving it as a special gift from a dear friend. I find it very useful and we have not been apart since she arrived, lol. Enjoy!
Thanks C! I think my aversion to east/west bags came about because I couldn't get on with the MMS Midi. I loved the bag to look at in pictures but there was something about the way it looked sitting on my desk (viewed from above, the zipper just annoyed me) that just didn't work for me..sounds odd I know. I think that got twisted about in my head into the thought that this style of bag didn't suit me. Similarly I love the Hug me but when you set it down on a desk, it loses that lovely slouchy half moon shape and consequently, a lot of its charm but I love to carry it!
I don't find it odd at all! I must like the look/feel of my handbags both while on and sitting next to me (they have to pass the "Odebdo passenger seat test shot", LOL) Enjoy this one, she really is very lovely on you (and I kinda die over those exterior pockets, swoon!)
Van Bond- I am behind the times here and just saw your pictures- what a great bag! I love the handles, leather and the hardware color - enjoy your new treat!
This is such a great idea. I am determined to only have bags I use on a regular basis. If I do not use them out they go. Up until now I have used all my BE bags on a regular rotation. That means I have the right number of bags.
^So far, I'm doing well. I carried 10 different handbags in June so if I can repeat that this month, it will mean that pretty much everything gets used at least every second month (with the exception of my Mottled Silver Clutch Me but I'm ok with that).
I received the last of the bags I was waiting for, a gorgeous Coffee Velvet Matte Treasure Me with gold hardware and fuschia lining.
This is a wonderful leather, very soft and chewy and it looks great in this style.
Coffee VM is nothing like Nutmeg VM! They both have a wonderful soft surface texture but the Nutmeg leather is quite smooth and the Coffee leather has an almost pebbled texture. Coffee is different again from Choc Matte which has a more veiny appearance - it also has that gorgeous smell that the Coffee VM does not. In terms of scuffs, the coffee is different to the Nutmeg in that it does not scuff or show scratches in the same way. I had a swatch and really scratched it hard with my nail which I would NEVER do to nutmeg and it survived ok.

The bag in sunlight. The colour is pretty accurate but gasp! Are my windows really that dirty? Bad, bad me!
A comparison shot on top of my choc matte TMA Midi.
The bag lying flat to show Lovie how soft the bottom is (no stiffener, you wouldn't need to perform slouchy bottom surgery on this one).
Mod shot to show it messenger - I attached two extra rings to get it to ride low as this is the standard messenger length.

Delivery central in the Bod home today! My mottled gold zippered wallet arrived too!
It seems BE has made the wallet every so slightly longer and quite a bit wider than my cream pebbled zipper wallet. I don't mind that as it still has a lovely slim profile.
I bought this to try the mottled gold leather (and give my cream wallet a break) and wow! It is so much better in real life, not blingy at all. Thanks Moonfancy, tenKrat and Tote Girl for encouraging me to try this and Odebdo for putting it up for sale. As I suspected, I would try a small bag in this first rather than a larger style.

My pewter crash Love Me Midi arrived this afternoon. It is lovely and smooshy and only the narrow, non adustable messenger strap gives it away that this is quite an old BE bag. I have the slightly wider messenger strap in this leather so that is not problem. Lining is fuschia and in excellent condition. I was thrilled to scoop this up from a lovely UK seller as pewter crash is now all gone and has been removed from the BEC options. I have a Surprise Me in this leather which is a little smoother, less textured and I love it but a messenger bag isn't always best at work. I have always liked the Love Me style, such a pity that BE don't seem to be making them for stock anymore.
What a great bag, Vans! It's nice to be able to pick up older styles in the original leathers! Sounds lovely!
