French Pedicure....Out of Style???

Agree a french pedi or mani for that matter is a classic and never goes out of style. On my toes I switch back and forth depending on the mood, but honestly love french the best it goes with everything! You can't go wrong.

I agree that it is very classic! It's a pretty look. I just got a french mani and pedi with my mom and I love it. I still love my dark navy and bright pinks and other fun colors too..but to give my nails a more natural look that is still fun, this is great.

I think it looks great! But on me, not so much, so I stick with solids. With the running and skating I do, my toes just get really beat up and it's hard to keep something as precise as a french pedi looking good for a short time!

Probably not, at least for a while. It's a look that has just taken off in the last few years, and as this thread attests, is now considered by many to be a "classic."

To me, it can be very pretty on hands, especially on short, natural nails, but maybe my General Pedi Worldview is too Old School, on toes I am just not feeling it. It reminds me too much of people who do not trim their toenails.

I guess the positive side is that if you really like the look, but can't afford or don't like pedis, just do nothing, and in a few months, you will have a natural french pedi. Absolutely free!

Great to hear everyone's responses!!! I love them...and have had my toes like this exclusively for the last 5 years. BUT...I have been living out of the country, and just wanted to make sure that in my absence...it hadn't gone from classic to a "car model, porn star" look!!!! I have just seen a lot of people with color this summer!

its not trendy, its CLASSIC.

you can never go wrong with a frenchie. See the whole dark nails thing? that is trendy

Not really... or at least not for everyone. I've been wearing darker shades of colours ever since I discovered nail polishes and this is probably 10 years ++++ ago. I'll alternate sometimes to give my nail a break and go for a lighter colour, but it's always a solid colour. I do not like the two toned look.

i dont like it, the trashy pornstars car models whatever u call it ruined it for me. also, i think it only looks decent on natural nails not on gel or acrylic
hehe, true. Plus the attititude and everything, it just makes them seem so fake, especially with those super long nails...

My DH likes it, but personally I think it looks tacky -- reminds me of strippers and porn stars, like others said, and I am not either one! Ha... rarely I do it to appease DH and I make sure the white line is SUPER thin.... it's so tacky otherwise. Gah! (I feel the same about French on the hands too though.)

Interesting.....I just wouldn't want one on me. I don't know why, but I think it makes my toenails look extra long and I am not striving for that look when I have polish on them.....which is 365 days out of the year.
