I don’t know exactly but I’ve tried on knitted furs, although I’ve only seen knitted mink and rabbit. It is much more light weight and less expensive. Not something I’d wear in winter. My understanding is the fur is made into a yarn like fabric and woven. The ones I tried almost felt like a light sweater with fur on it. Still can be pretty for warmer days. Last time at my furrier a young girl bought a knitted rabbit jacket.
It's been cold this week so I've been wearing my silver fox stroller out & about.

Cold today so I wore my silver cashmere wrap trimmed is shadow fox.
Looks cozy and really nice. The shadow fox is a fabulous colour.
Maybe not the most flattering, but I loved the pattern in this blue fox coat! It's lightweight but warm and best of all it was a steal from a second hand store here in town
