I spoke to my friend who works in the showroom and there are going to be many other stores carrying the bag, neiman marcus and bergdorf goodman had exclusives to presell. Other stores that will be carrying are www.activeendeavors.com, Calypso, Urban Chic in DC, Coplon's, Rok and Lola in Red Bank, NJ, and Steven Alan...just to name a few. so if what you wanted is sold out at bergdorfs or neimans, call one of these other places and have them hold a bag for you!

A lot of stuff can still fit in it. I also like the quilted look. It is definitely a keeper. About the putty elise, my mom did like the shape, but she doesn't really like the color. So that one I did not keep. Too bad, I didn't like it I would have kept it for myself. I seem to always prefer darker color bags. I am sorry that you had trouble with that Shirise company. Did they offer to return or give you store credit? I guess I won't ever be buying from them.

Milton, thanks for the heads-up about the color release date. I think I will keep my order and then make the call once I am actually able to see the other colors.
I am so excited so see this bag in person. August 26th (est. ship date according to Neiman) seems like eons away!
I have been lurking around this thread and finally took the plunge on these bags. I think they are going to be beyond fabulous! I ordered the Skye in both white and black from BG. The white has a delivery date of "delayed backorder" and the black "August 28". I love the antique-y look of the leather on the brown - it's still available in the Olivia - but it seems like the Olivia is really huge. I wonder how it compares to another bag we're all familiar with - like the stam? Any thoughts or opinions?

^^Thanks so much for the info - that really helps alot. The stam is big to me so the Olivia, I guess, would be huge to me.
If anyone's interested in Gryson's Skye in Chocolate (no longer available at NM, BG, & shoptwigs), you can pre-order it by calling shoptwigs.com at 888.409.9100. I got their last one, but canceled my pre-order yesterday; the expected arrival is around July 25th.

Smoke sounds like it will be a nice color. I ended up canceling my order for the Lexi. I don't think the style is that unique. I did have a black skye on preorder, but I ended up preordering the chocolate from Urban Chic. I called the Gryson sales rep to ask them where else I could preorder from because I decided that the chocolate looked better.
