Milton, thanks for the info. I will give them a call, I would like to try Skye & Ava (afraid that they'll be too big for me) in person. Olivia's a beauty (leather & style) in real life.

Great to see that these are finally getting shipped!! Can't wait to see photos. I am still a little hesitant and would like to see them in person too. I am going to try and venture out this week to see one IRL.

also, the girls at Calypso came up with a great way of hiding the shoulder straps if you don't want to use them. if you swivel the hinges, you can put the straps around the outside of the bag and snap them up in the bottom strap.

Thank you Milton! I wanted to go this week, but will have to settle for this weekend. Darn it, I can feel the excitement bubbling up in my stomach already.

For those who have seen the Skye bags IRL, can you tell me if they are more round or more boxy (square) in person? The pictures vary so much. Thanks a million! :flowers:

Guys, I just saw the bag today at a boutique in Pasadena, CA. (Just stumbled upon it, I was so surprised!)

It is sooo lovely in person. You know how some bags look nothing like the picture and are just disappointing in person? Not so here. The bag (a black Skye) looked just like this:

The leather was nice and thick and matte, and the shape was perfect. They also had 2 large ones (the Olivia?) in a color called Military, which wa an olive green. This color was not as nice as the Black, IMO.

Yes, the long handles can be unbuckled and removed from the bag. However, you do end up with the metal end of the buckles still attached to the bag.
