or better yet an appreciating asset like a home...but i guess for those that have enough loot to have a home, assets, retirement funded, kids college funded, emergency fund funded, and otherwise have their financial house in order and have disposable funds to burn that are insignificant compared to your assets then I am not mad at 'em!
 
They seriously bloated all the prices- like "most Birkins sell for over $20,000" and listing a paddy for $12,000. Sure, they can cost that much, but it's a minority to say the least. I mean, even an ostrich birkin is under $20K!
 
Interesting article, thanks for sharing. I do think that showing only the croc versions are a bit misleading - any bag would be expensive in crocodile skin. Comparing the leather versions would give a more accurate view of the prices, but would of course not look as staggering in print as these price tags do.
