Wish me luck -- I just called back that NR store and the lovely sales gal is holding their LAST pink top robot and blue leather feather in the back for me till closing time -- they're open till 8pm! For both, my tab should be under $30 total! There were also a bunch more that I'm not drooling over (metal boxed horse and carriage hangtag, glitter hearts, padlock with key), but if they're discounted enough I'll have future stocking stuffers -- I'll post a mini haul reveal tonite! PS -- Thx to Kitts, I also called the Saks Off 5th (right next door to NR), who has ALL the leather feather colors, but at the lesser discount! But since it's right next door, it can't hurt to stop in! I REALLY want that yellow leather feather too. Wahoo!! Off to shop now!

Good luck, looking forward to seeing what you get!

Ok, here is my MICRO Haul from NR. Even though the sales gal did hold the LAST Pink Robot for me, I misinterpreted on the phone what else they had left over. I bought only one feather since blue was the only color left. I got the LAST two Wishbone charms too. The Wishbones and Robot were $15 apiece and the feather was $17, so after tax it totaled about $65. The other remaining charms were so hideous IMHO that I wouldn't take them for free :giggle:. For obvious reasons it's best I don't identify them so as to not insult some possible owners of them. To each his own, right?

I took some closeup pics -- you'll notice one of the Wishbone charms is missing the tiny black enamel feather -- I deliberately removed it to attach it to the leather feather, which already has its own enamel feather attached -- so I'm adding the tiny enamel feather from one wishbone to attach to the blue leather feather, which will now have one additional medium and one small enamel feather attached to it, lol. It wasn't completed when I snapped the pics. If you have no clue what I just wrote, no worries -- conciseness is not one of my strengths.

In the last pic I also added my reveal for the large studded cactus fob that I got from the FOS last week. It's a bit larger and thicker than I would have liked, but it should look okay on my large Rory Satchels.

I will take this with a grain of salt, but the nice NR sales gal told me that she was told MORE AND DIFFERENT charms are coming in this week, she had no date. It seems too good to be true, but she told me to call there in a few days to follow up. This NR doesn't do customer calls to announce arriving merchandise of any kind.

Of course, I will call them in a few days -- and all you other NR shoppers should do the same, just in case.

The first 3 pics are the NR Micro Haul.

Great choices! Congratulations on your haul; I am so glad that you were able to get some of the items you wanted. I've got mixed feelings about the news that they may be getting new and different fobs - I've bought too many already! But thanks for the head's up!

How do you know what size to buy? I'm not sure how to measure.
That is trial and error. Michael's didn't have any tiny crystals so I was stuck with ordering 'blind' on the internet. I knew of a body jewelry site that had a printable guide for different sizes of body jewelry, so I used that to get close to the size I needed. I found what I thought was the right size and ordered that size plus one size smaller and one size larger. Then one day I needed a second size, so I just went ahead and ordered the whole array of sizes so I would have them when I needed them. I keep clear crystals from less than 1mm in size up to about 4mm. They're not expensive and you always have the size you need for your project. There's even colored stones that will pretty much match up with most costume jewelry and such. I don't stock those, just buy them as I needed them. The size tip I can give you offhand right now is that the pave elephant has 2.2 mm crystals. I remember that because the first one I had lost a crystal almost immediately.

It was so hard to decide, I wanted a bunch of them but I couldn't take them all! I started sorting them into favorites in piles I called "Ten Dollars", "Fifteen Dollars" and "Twenty Five Dollars" based on the approximate prices. Then I started narrowing them down further until I ended up with eleven fobs. That's too many because I already have a lot of fobs, but I couldn't cut it down further and I am planning to give some of these fobs as gifts! So I didn't overspend, right?!

I spent a total of $171 on eleven fobs but the MSRP for all of them was $735 so I actually saved $564!

Here are the fobs I bought in the approximately $10 category. I don't have the accurate names and numbers for all of them because some had be relabeled by Nordstrom, so I made up temporary descriptive names.

Gold Horse and Carriage Hangtag 631598 GD GD (MSRP = $33; paid $7.97)
Silver Horse and Carriage Hangtag 631598 SV SV (MSRP = $33; paid $7.97)
Exotic Standard Clover 65122 BK GRS (MSRP = $40; paid $9.97)
Dahlia Floral Hangtag (MSRP = $45; Paid $9.97)

Wow what goodies! I've always loved the clover and regret not purchasing it on sale. I love fobs, but don't use them much so maybe that's why I passed on the clover.

Boo Hoo! Our only NR didn't get a one. We don't have a Saks outlet either so I'm just SOOL. And envious of all you lucky gals who lucked out. But in a good way. lol
Mine neither. I took off after work like a bat out of hell for mine when I saw the post last week! I wanted a feather one so bad LOL
:crybaby: *takes a BIg Girl Pill* Congrats to all you lucky ducks!
