"Flying Under the Radar" great handbags...

I like a well made bag, and well designed. That said, I just won't pay $5,000 or $10,000 for a bag. A watch, yes, but not a bag. Personal preference.

I am a busy woman and like to keep things simple. I tend to use my bag every day with changes only for seasons (so 2 bags for the year) and a night out.

I have always bought quality but even the best bags that are built for daily use (like Coach back in the day) will look tired after 3 or 4 years. Then I donate it and get new.

So, can anyone recommend classic designs that are well made that are under $5k and more in the $1,500-$3,000 range?

Celine, Valextra, Alaia have lots of great minimalistic designs. I also like Salvatore Ferragamo and Tods, but don’t have any of those

Has anyone here ever heard of Tsatsas bags? They are handmade in Germany....OMG, they are soooo beautiful and the linings are blue lamb leather. This one is my favorite: the 'Shift':

and this one is the 'Sacar' :

Love the ones with the shorter handle!!! Do you have a website for these?

Sadly not, Antonia.

Your best bet would be the secondary market. Once Valentina Fiore accepted an executive position at Anya Hindmarch, she had to discontinue any involvement with her former brand. :crybaby:

And sadly, it shows in the latest offerings by the conglomerate that acquired her former designs. :crybaby:

Specifically the short handle satchels you admire. I saw the latest iteration recently at a TJMaxx and was frankly appalled at the shoddy workmanship and suspect leather. :wtf:

This is a bag my husband surprised me with last week. I had never heard of this company before, Little King Goods. From his website, he’s a one man show and he’s out of Ontario Canada. This is the nicest full grain bag I’ve had to date. Each item ordered is hand made to order. Also, the straps are custom 13 in drop for me, I’ve been having wrist issues. This is such a special gift to me and I will love it forever! Thanks for letting me share.

Took the plunge and decided to get a Yuzefi bag that was on sale from C3tt1re. Granted, it was on sale, whatever. But it only came in a dustbag, a bit dusty between the folds, and craftsmanship a bit sloppy which I didn't expect from a $300ish bag (I mean... for that price range coach/rebecca minkoff are impeccable). The finish however a bit rough. If you visit souvenir store in Spain and get their 40 euro leather bag, that's exactly the kind of finish I feel like I'm getting. See how you can see the black stitching? which...idk makes the bag look cheap. The color helps tho, in person it's a pretty shade of yellow. The bag is Yuzefi mini bean in color Apricot. Returning this one for sure and start saving to get Prada Arque instead.
