I was thinking the same, the aquamarine especially reminds me of rose cut diamonds - diaphanous and ethereal. I do agree the low RI material + pear shape must have been a deliberate choice! If I recall correctly the original Hawaii collection used amethyst and peridot and... Rubellite I think?


I personally quite like these designs, they feel post-war vintage (I don't know enough about Hawaii to pass any judgments on thematic relevance)... But the pricepoint is rather unforgiving and these aren't gemstones I generally wear. So it's a pass for me.
I agree. While I dont see a place for it in my jewelry collection; I appreciate the concept. I do think it is quite visually true to the previous Hawaii pieces, perhaps with more modern silhouettes.
 
I think if I ever wanted floral pieces I would go for the dolce and Gabbana fine jewelry version instead. It has a much better price point because no diamonds and they did it years ago.
