No, no that's okay. I shouldn't have made such a blanketing statement. Some Troll beads do fit on Pandora bracelets but some do not. You can find detailed lists, including catalog numbers, online. All Chamilia beads should fit on Pandora bracelets without an issue because both chains are of 3mm sizing. All Persona beads fit on Pandora bracelets except for Persona stopper beads.

If your heart was set on Troll's Murano Glass beads, Persona and Chamilia offer some beautiful Murano Glass as well.

Personally I'd agree with MissyMomToTwo in that Troll bracelets fit EVERYTHING and if you don't want to be limited I'd go with that.

CharmingCharms, I haven't heard of Persona before, and so I'm off to check it out.

my bracelet is a trollbeads one, its nice but not really for an heirloom.

I think whatever one loves makes a wonderful heirloom. It's obviously subjective.
I have come upon many mothers who have daughters who share the trollbead love, as I'm sure it's the same for other lines. Some choose beads because it means something to them, or, receive them as gifts. All that adds up to a wonderful heirloom, no matter what brand. I think the trollbead quality is quite nice, and continues to hold up with abuse :)

I adore Trollbeads and collect them myself, but I chose Pandora for my heirloom piece because it looked neat and classic, and I also liked the fact the Pandora name is stamped onto some pieces. I enjoy collecting both Trollbeads and Pandora, each for their own unique attributes and styles.

No doubt my daughter will inherit both!

I guess you could be best advised to just buy a standard snake chain, although it wouldn't have guaranteed strength and I would worry it could snap, causing my precious(and expensive!) beads and charms to be lost.

You could also look into Biagi. I started with Biagi before moving to Halia and Pandora, and I have 2 Biagi bracelets. The quality and designs are great; they definitely hold their own with Pandora. Also, Biagi can generally be purchased for less $$.

ETA: I guess this is more directed toward Endymoon, as I do not think Biagi does solid gold beads, but I could be mistaken.

I tell you, this stuff is ADDICTING, and I haven't even made a purchase yet, LOL.

It seems like I prefer the main Pandora bracelet (Well, I like the Pandora snap thing, and the bracelet itself would have meaning, as I'm part Dutch). As for the charms themselves, I MUCH prefer the Chamilia silver charms - I've got about 5 in mind so far that would be very meaningful. I prefer the Murano collection from Chamilia too. And I like both Chamilia and Pandora's gemstone / CZ / etc. collections.

It seems like I'd be buying a Pandora bracelet, and eventually have maybe 3/4 of the charms as Chamilia... if that's the case, shouldn't I just buy a Chamilia bracelet? In which case it would likely be 95% Chamilia, LOL.

SO INDECISIVE!!!! lol

Oh - another question... I know that the regular charms are interchangeable between Pandora / Chamilia... but what about the locks / clips? Can I put a Pandora lock / clip on a Chamilia bracelet, and vice versa?

I don't think you can remove the Pandora lock from the Pandora chain.

I'd say go for Chamilia if you like the chain and the charms.

However, have you looked at the Trollbeads Murano glass selection? Gorgeous! And Trollbeads are Dutch too! And they have the thinnest chains so EVERYTHING will fit on them.

Ooooh, decisions for you! I know how you feel, I haven't long been collecting but was obsessed before I even made my first purchase!

Oops - sorry, I used the wrong term, I meant clips. (I definitely want the Pandora lock). I finally decided I definitely want the Pandora bracelet, and will have a pretty good mix of Pandora / Chamilia charms. So excited to get started!

I need to check out Trollbeads. I actually much prefer the look of the Chamilia / Pandora bracelet itself, which is why I didn't pay much attention to Trollbeads. A shame their charms aren't compatible w/ the Pandora bracelet! :(

Maybe u can find a cute Dutch clog charm lol :) or a windmill :)
I'm Swedish, I've got a bunch of trolls, and a dala horse on my trollbead bracelet.
Oh, and people often got me mixed up with Switzerland lol

I recommend you take a peep before you purchase your bracelet. The last thing you want is to be enticed by them AFTER you've bought a bracelet they won't fit onto.

And you don't have to be into trolls. I'm not into trolls but am addicted to the many gorgeous murano glass beads they produce.

LOL, I'm easily confused too, LMAO.

miss_chiff - It's somewhat distant (well, maybe 1/4?) so don't think a specific charm would make it into my first bracelet (special memories or symbolisms of people, etc.)... but the fact that I just said it won't be in my "first" .... yeah, I'm in TROUBLE!!! lmao I figured it would have been a good way to do double duty on the bracelet itself, but that's out the window now, LOL.

Splurgeface - wow, those trollbeads esp the muranos are gorgeous! I wish they were bigger! I really liked the pandora bracelet the best though, so...

I ordered one online, as well as the blue ribbon murano bead on Sunday night - and it's ON THE UPS TRUCK FOR DELIVERY!!! Woohoo I can't wait!!! :)
