First H bag recommendations

My first H handbag was a Lindy 30 (I have since found her to be too big and had bought a Lindy 26). I don't have a Herbag but I have heard so many good things about it (and so getting my local store to keep a lookout for one for me in 2020). I would recommend a Halzan - you can wear it in some many different ways. I have a Halzan 31 - very roomy and doesn't look huge on me. As a few had mentioned earlier, a Picotin is also a good intro H bag. I had a Picotin 22 - I decided to rehome this as I thought Picotin should be in a fun, happy colour (mine was black) - planning to collect my new Picotin, which is now in 18 and in anemone after Christmas (currently kept for me at my local store). Good luck and do only settle for the best (for you)!
Thank you all for your replies! Yesterday a nice herbag with two canvas bag and tan leather came up on eBay just waiting to be picked up as a Christmas present for myself I’ll send pics as soon as I receive it!

Congrats! Can you share photos of the beige? I have never seen this bag in person so I’m curious what you mean that you can turn the canvas around?

I added a back picture of the black one and as you see, the black one is reversed (the back pocket and the borders outside, sorry but the image won’t upload straight ) whereas the beige one is not reversed (the pocket and the borders are inside the bag, like a retourne model)

Yes! From my understanding it’s mainly the oldest model but I’m not so sure, on the herbag question thread someone said the new one could be dismantled but the SA told me it couldn’t . I have to say I find this model however hardes to get in and out but for the price and the two canvas bag, it’s hard to beat the OG version compared to the new one!

2. If you want to eventually continue to build your Hermes collection or buy a Birkin or Kelly, I would recommend buying directly from the boutique. You can start to build a relationship with an SA to be offered more bags in the future. If you think you’ll just buy two or three Hermes bags in your lifetime then maybe preloved is the way to go.
3. You can always try on at a preloved reseller location like TheRealReal or Rebag.
