I agree, I must add that I am one of the few who absolutely do not like the Spy at all. I think Chanel is more of a special occasion bag - Louis you can wear everyday.

I carry my Chanel everyday.
It COMPLETELY depend son which you choose.
Choose a nice roomy tote in caviar leather and it's just as durable and casual as anything else!
I recommend a Chanel or a LV batignolles Horizontal for any Mommy!

I would have to disagree with everyone that all LV bags will be classic, I'm sure there are certain styles many of us here don't care much about. Trendy is a relative term as well. =)

LookingGood35: It depends on your friend's preference in terms of material, style, etc. Leather vs Canvas? Shoulder bag vs Handheld bag? Logo vs no Logo? What's her price range? ....

Which LV line is she considering? If Mono or Damier line, it's canvas with very little leather. LV's leather lines Epi, Suhali aren't as soft as Fendi's though.

Fendi Spy (all leather version) is made of incredibly soft leather, many members here still prefer Spy over B.bag.

Personally, I love medium Fendi B.bag in Tan/Black combo (Black Patent Leather on Tan leather -- very soft), it's a good size and can be worn over the shoulder. It can be dressed up and down. The only concern I have is the closing snap.

Medium Fendi B.bag has longer straps that can go on the shoulder. =)
