Hello ladies :flowers:
since I am a relatively new member I can’t start my own threads here and I found this one, I want to ask you a similar question.

Tbh I don’t own that many designer bags but absolutely love the ones I own. I choose the ones I buy very wisely

I have been eyeing the Jodie in medium but am not quite sure, which color to get. Currently I am torn between black and grape. My wardrobe mostly consists out of neutral colors such as beige or I mostly wear black.

That would be my first BV bag. Other bags I own have the Damier Ebene pattern or are white. The only black bag I own is the boy bag.

My problem is that I don’t have any colorful bags (are they hard to combine?) but also I can’t definitely say that I have enough black bags, so I can ditch the thought of buying the black BV.

The grape color just seems so interesting and somehow I think of the many counterfeit products I have seen, when I think about the black BV.

I hope you can share some of your thoughts with me! I really want to get the best use of the bag I possibly can
Hi lasedy,
This is a wonderful dilemma to have :flowers:

In my opinion, as far as BV bags go, the quality is superb and while there are many dupes of BV bags out there, the leather quality of an authentic BV is inimitable—- no replica (even if it looks darn close to real thing from a distance) will even come close to the sensuous tactile feeling of the luxurious BV leather.

Also my opinion, as far as BV bags colors go, you are in luck because they do colors beautifully. Yes even Nero is beautiful.

It’s a very personal choice as far as colors go. You certainly won’t go wrong with Nero or grape colors (it sounds like you are looking into either or both colors?).

The Jodie bag is a ‘modern’ classic and bound to be a long running staple under Daniel Lee.

(my sister who is a ‘ride or die’ LV fan, really loves the Grape color of my medium Jodie. She thinks it’s even better than my small caramel Jodie!)

Good luck with your ultimate first BV bag and please post pics when you get it!

I agree with @weezer. I don't think you can go wrong with either color. Nero is always lovely. However, a comment I often hear is no one does color like BV. I tend to agree. Nero will always be available, but if Grape makes your heart sing, I'd go with that color before it sells out.

Thank you so much for taking your time to reply. I really appreciate it :flowers: Now I am even more sure that I need to get a Jodie ASAP  And of course I will post pics— even though they won’t be nearly as beautiful as the ones you shared of your caramel and grape ones!

That last argument sealed the deal— I need to get my hands on the beautiful grape color before I experience the shortest horror story called "sold out":biggrin:
