I bought a b30 preloved as my first Hermes quota bag. It's a wonderful size, but really quite heavy for me to lug around as a casual every day bag. Maybe it's the 7rp insert.... that thing is thick! Is the weight ever an issue for you?

I don't really carry that much (cosmetic bag, wallet, phone and keys) and I use a very lightweight insert, so the weight hasn't been an issue for me. I'm petite and don't like using a handheld bag for when I need to carry a lot of stuff, so I get it. When I do need to bring along more, I use a shoulder tote.

I have a b30 in Togo leather and I can't do heavy , and after hearing the weight of the bag being an issue I was surprised to hold the bag and it's not heavy at all for me .
I see, thank you! I think it is my 7rp insert paired with the large capacity. It's easier to carry more things (umbrella, scarf, etc..)

Thank you! Can you please recommend your insert brand? I am looking for something lighter. The 7rp is good for storage, but not actual daily use given my arm strength. :D

I don't remember the name of the specific insert but I think I got it on Amazon. It is made of felt, lightweight and has various pockets so it's quite functional.

I just got my first Birkin 30 in Vert Fonce from a boutique in Asia (my first time walking in, though I have a profile from another city in the country) and am loving how the color changes under different lighting! Was wanting a classic black since I am a guy and its my first Birkin, but when I previously saw this color in Seoul on display (the SA do not even allow my request to remove it from display to see it up close), i was so intrigued by how the color changes as you view it from different angles with the light.

I think if you are above 165cm or 5’6, a size 30 is perfect. I am in Asia and somehow, everyone only wants 25 here, also many are driven by the “influencers” they follow so they just wanna mimic what these ‘influenzas’, as i call them, carry. Can’t wait to use it when I am back home!!

For me a b30 would be mostly empty almost all the time. That would annoy me.

You are asking a question that only you can answer and the people telling you to assemble what you normally carry with you and then figure out which bag fits that amount of stuff better are the only ones making sense.

If you know how to wear the bag either size looks good on almost everyone.

I’m 5’3 (1m60), don’t own a Birkin (yet) but have a bag with a similar shape and close in size to a B30. Since you’re taller than me a B25 would certainly look pretty small, if that’s not the look you’re after go for the B30! It’s the one I would choose even though I’m petite 🙂
