I miss the old thread too. This feels a bit disjointed.

I want to whistle as I bought the CMSC jersey.

I understand about those who subscribe, but must admit I prefer the "old" finds thread as well. I never usually come to this one and the last of posts shows that most people don't come regularly either. I guess we'll get used to it.

I just want you to know I hear what you are saying....

Our Hermes Finds thread is different from many others because we do allow chatter, some are just finds only, no comments of any kind.

This discussion thread was in response to members who, as OB said, were getting bogged down looking for finds.

However, we do not want to alienate members or dramatically alter the spirit of the finds thread, so please feel free to air your thoughts and concerns here. We do not want to limit our finds thread to no chatter, and were hoping to find a happy medium.

We were hoping to provide a place for the extended conversations that sometimes happen in the Finds threads, to make it easier for subscribers, but I think most of us do not want to sacrifice the thread to do so....

Its a learning curve for all of us whenever change happens, while we sort things out, please be patient.

I can't imagine who doesn't know how to scroll through the commentary to see the blue links in the text. I feel like people who sign up for email alerts for every new post in the finds thread are asking for how ever many emails come. Doesn't seem fair to take away the whistles and the comraderie of the old thread so the hard core ebay price gougers don't have to read a few extra posts.

I miss the old thread as well. There will always be discussion about many topics when posting an item. I remember info shared about sellers or items from memebers when an item comes up. I miss that and all the wondeful chatter that goes on. Well just my thoughts.And I would love for someone to share their thoughts on why they felt the old thread was not useful. It would help me understand. Thank you!

For everyone who shared this feeling, head on back to the original thread and see the newest post by CB. The old model has been restored and it will again be a happy place for finds, winks, whistles, congratulations, and (maybe) from time to time even a little Johhny Depp joke.
