Awesome! I got mine today! So glad I got the kinfolk discount. I'm going to take the Samantha sunnies I got on Bonanza this week and get my rx put in them.
I saw your reveal and those glasses look FANTASTIC on you!!!! My lenses are progressive and transition....the transition turn to sunglasses outside and this is the first time I got the gray/black tint for the sunglasses b/c I usually get brown....I am REALLY liking the gray/black though. I wear my Coach sunnies when I am wearing my contact lenses though! What is a kinfolk discount? TIA!!!

Glad you can laugh it off- they must be jealous since you are now looking so hot :graucho:
Awww thanks! I used to NOT be able to laugh it off and I wrote an entire thread about it a few weeks ago b/c it got so bad. Because of all the nice people on here who gave me "comeback" comments, I can now laugh it off!

When you start to get dizzy, stop and focus on your nose. It may sound dumb, but it works.
OK....I will try!!! It doesnt sound dumb at all....the eye Dr had told me I was going to have to learn to point my nose at what I wanted to look at....at first I told him this sounds like WAY too much work!!! LOL But today, after 3 days of wearing them, I am doing MUCH better. Still get dizzy/blurry sometimes, but then I am starting to learn how to re-focus! I LOVE these frames though!!!!

My brother-in-law is my optometrist, so I get glasses at cost. Those frames alone would have been $225 (though they were less online) but I paid $90 for the frames and $140 total and can claim them on my insurance. Mine are no-line bifocals - is that what they call progressive?

OMG you are SOOO lucky!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, the no-line bifocals are progressives.....I also get transitions in my lenses so they also turn to sunglasses and I dont need to switch to prescription sunglasses when I wear my glasses...it's pretty neat! My frames alone were $298 at the optical store!!!!!!!!!!!! Then we had to add lenses..... With our insurance I think they took $50 off the frames.....it's so costly but Coach frames are worth it IMO b/c they last forever and can take a beating!!!!! With the insurance I get a portion off the progressives, a portion off the transition add on, a portion off the antiglare/scratch resistant coating, etc.....it's a little portion but it's still something. YOU are SO lucky!!!!!!!!!!

I know! I do a cafeteria plan/flexible spending account at work, so I will get reimbursed for them. It's from my own money, but it still helps.

Nice glasses! I have Coach frames for my glasses, too, and love them. I'm not sure what the style name is for mine, but they're a dark tortoise shell hard plastic. I've had them a couple of years and really need a new prescription, AND i want some new Coach frames! Maybe I'll have to add the eye doctor to my "to do" list.....

Went to get my eyes examined today and I had hoped for Coach eye glasses.....they did have them in stock, but they didn't have but a couple of pair that fit my face size/shape. Then to my dismay, they were too small to fit my prescription:( I did, however, find a pair of Vera Bradley that would work and my husband and eye doctor both liked on me.....just hope they look as good when I can actually see!!

Love these glasses, I have them in Bordeaux. The gunmetal was going to be my other choice.

As far as progressive lenses, they take a good bit to get used to. You have to point your nose at what you want to look at rather than just shifting your eyes. Due to the blending of the lens you cannot look out of the side of them or it will be one giant blur. Also finding your "sweet spot" can be difficult to learn, but once you get it your eyes will automatically go there. As far as the dizziness don't try to look up really quickly, this will throw your eyes off kilter.

If you look on the inside of the one of the arms (mine is on the right side) it should tell you the name. :)

I got my pair on Thursday! I was getting headaches at first but I think those are gone now. I'm actually unsure if the prescription in these are correct but I called my optometrist and she said to give it a couple more days to see if my eyes would adjust. I have a feeling I'll have to get new lenses...grrrr!

I'm going through the same problem!! I just got new glasses on Thursday and I'm thinking the same thing about my prescription. I'm thinking that mine needs to be tweaked. It's so annoying to have to get new lenses! Unfortunately, no one around here carries Coach frames but I got Burberry ones that I love.

OP - Great picture of your glasses. They are very pretty!!

That is SO great!!!! Wish I had that!

LOL Love adding "coach frames" to do the "to do list"!!!! Look on the inside arm of your eyeglasses and you will find the name! Let us know what it is...you should also find the size of your frames (thought sometimes that is on the nose, which is where it is on my new frames!

:smile1: I actually went through ALOT to get these.....a co-worker had them and I kept complimenting her on them....then one day I asked for the name of them....when I went to order them, the optical place had them in stock and I LOVED them, so we went ahead and placed the order.....when the lenses came in and my glasses were ready, I found that the frame was TOO SMALL and I couldnt read properly with the progressives b/c of that....my eye dr told me to go one size up in frames....so I went back to the optical store and told them, and they had to order me the one size up b/c he only had the smaller size in stock. It took me another two weeks to get these! I LOVE them and I can see why I had to go one size up. And these fit my face better anyway! If you want Coach frames you could always buy them on line from one of the vendors and then have your optical place make the lenses for you and put them in!

OMG that is SO funny because the bordeaux was my other choices!!!!! Do you have a pic you can post? LOVE them!

They are taking MUCH longer to get used to then I thought they would! I am an accountant, and when I go from the computer screen to a spreadsheet on my desk it's VERY blurry....same thing right now at home.....computer screen to newspaper.....HELP!!!! Trying to find that "spot" is hard!

I was thinking that could be my problem too....but I went to the eye Dr FOUR times before ordering these to check my prescription so it better not be my problem! LOL Also, most optical places will grant you 30 days (the place I went to this time grants you 3 months) and if your prescription changes, they will replace your lenses for free.....ask about that!!! Keep us posted :smile1:
