I had the chance to visit a Cartier store today while in Northpark in Dallas. I tried on the 33, 36 and a tank anglaise around the same size as the 33. I was surprised on me how "small" the 33 looked. I ended up moving to the 36 and loving it. I actually thought if I went with one if go quartz.

As far as quartz vs automatic. The salesgirl I worked with said that the quartz keeps time better bec it's less reliant on movement and winding than the automatic and that they lean toward quartz on the smaller ones bec women tend to prefer that to automatic. Men like the complications in the automatic more and are more interested in the winding and movement to keep them "on time".

Ooooh I see--- thanks for clearing quartz vs auto for me!!! I have to decide by tomorrow!!! Although a bit peeved... While I placed the deposit on the 28 last month, they emailed me to tell me that someone else is interested in it... Which likely means they tried it on.... I don't think that's cool at all! 😒

Tried it on today, the tank looked like it was made for my wrist... But the bb grew on me even though it was sportier and also stainless as ame said would be practical. I think one day I will need both! One issue is the jeweler is saying this could end up being a trendy watch. But at the same time in 5 years if I wanted she'll be able to likely source another Americane for me... I decide tomorrow morning WOOO!

I truly believe the BB is a very classic design and will never go out of style. I have the midsize Tank Francaise and really also want the BB. That does seem kind of silly, but I just love the Cartier Roman numeral faces! The watches are beautiful to look at! I buy them also to tell time, so I am fine with the quartz since they keep the best time with the least amount of trouble and expense long term.

I will add that if I could eventually get a THIRD Cartier watch, it would be a Tank with gold case with black strap. Not sure whether I would go yellow or rose gold, though. Can you tell that I like Cartier watches???!

If I were you, I would not let the gold TA tempt me. You love rose gold and white metals, and I don't think you'll be as happy with this TA as you would the BB. If the TA was rose gold, then my opinion would be a little different.

Thank you! The yellow gold looked so similar to my rose gold but I liked the sportiness very surprisingly, it just looked so fresh. She also said this would be the last time they could price this new for the number they did for me, but that since most ladies wear bigger watches she could find the Americane for me down the line if I wanted her too. Plus the strap looked so warn, so I would have had to replace that too. I normally love vintage and feminine pieces which is why I liked the Americane and I love me some gold but the bb is so fresh that it looks a little spunky on me and looks great with the love bangle. It's so distracting I shouldn't have brought it home today!

Thank you, it was a gift not sure it was with multiple gifts and lol I opened it in the car in the dark and the box never saw the light of day again. It did have a tag on it but I went to a bad jeweler and he cut it off when he shortened it for me. And didn't have the left over chain. but I wear it on either side. Honestly yesterday was the first day I took it off and I feel weird without it.. It takes away from the simplicity of the bangles... I now have the Hermes clic clac, diamond eternity which I will need to end up resetting already 😔 and the love. I also like this fashion cuff I got at c wonder and have been wearing it a lot. I'm not one to change up my jewelry everyday lol I clearly need to stop buying bangles and focus on the other holes of my collection. I never feel the evil eye until it would rub against my old watch
