How do you like the MJ Tote? I just bought a coach tote and am waiting for it to arrive. I've been eyeing the MJ Tote for months but it just didn't look like it could handle a beating.

I LOVE it. I have used it every single day since I bought it. My typical daily carry includes my phone, wallet, keys, a pen and mechanical pencil, two pairs of glasses, Airpods, a pocket sized notebook, and a water bottle. I just got back from a one-night trip to my parents and carried all of the previous items, plus a larger notebook, single change of clothes, and small toiletry bag and the tote could easily zip close.

I've knocked it into a lot of things since it's a bigger bag than I'm used to, but I haven't noticed any signs of wear. Today I finally received a bag shaper off Etsy and it fits and matches the color absolutely perfectly. I have everything neatly arranged now and am so excited to carry it on Monday back to work.

Now, I will say the particular model I have may require a little more caution. The summer tote has embroidery on the front and a thread came loose from one of the letters. On the inside of the bag where the embroidery is, I pulled the thread tight again and decided to put a little drop of superglue to keep it from unraveling again. So far that's the only little problem I've seen, but most of the models don't have embroidery so if it's a non-embroidery model it shouldn't be an issue.

As far as durability goes, I think this bag will last me a long time. I'm so incredibly happy that I bought it, I am in love with the look and functionality. Here are some pics with the new shaper in it, holding my typical work-day things:

That was the exact tote I was looking at. It's so pretty. I'm happy you like it. I'm still on the fence. I think I'll wait until there is a sale to decide.

Well. I've been giving the 40 size tote a run for its money. Last week I took it with me out for a picnic day, beach, and a visit to the SIL summer cottage on different days. I love the bag!.

At one time, I had
- a 500 ml thermos bottle
- a t-shirt and a cardigan in a pouch
- windproof jacket
- umbrella
- sunnies
- 2 medium pouches
- 2 small pouches
- the clutch that came with the bag
- a soft cooler with containing my picnic lunch
- a 1500 ml water bottle (yes, 1,5 liters!)
in the bag. It all fit in beautifully and the bag was effortless to carry - it was also easy to find my things in it. I think it's because the bottom is so wide in both directions that you don't have to go crazy and dig out everything to find something that's sitting at the bottom of the bag.
Totally worth the money!

Whaaaaaaa! I ordered it from Macy’s and the picture shows the pouch. The description mentions the pouch. I was really expecting a pouch. Lol.
You might get lucky with Macy’s. I ordered mine from there in November & it was the original design - came with the pouch and no interior pocket.

Isn’t that crazy?! The sales lady thought it was a mistake. The 30 oxblood Is on sale for 270 at Macy’s and I have some Macy’s bucks to spend which helped with the cost.
Well, that says something when the sales people think the price a mistake! :whut: I was thinking of getting the 30 at some point but I think they've priced out the Field totes.

True! How do you like the one you own?
I have another question. Does the field totes in size 40 come with a dust bag?
I love my Rocket print 40 very much! I don't think it has seen the inside of its dust bag since I got it. (So, yes, it came with a dust bag, albeit small compared to the size of the bag itself)
The bag hangs out on a chair in my bedroom, ready to be packed at a moment's notice. It seems every time I think I should put it away, in the next minute I need the bag. It's been my office day/road trip/shopping/overnight/everything/everywhere bag. I can fit a ton of stuff in it - you can really get back aches if you stuff it full and carry it for a long time - and, thanks to the wide bottom, things are easy to find even if the bag is pretty full.
I paid 415€ for the bag in Zalando summer sale last year and it's worth every penny. This is about as much as I'm ready to pay for a large coated canvas bag. A smaller one - maybe 350€. 495€, which is the new price for the 30, is a bit painful even as a thought.

Thanks! I really adore the bag but it was shipped with no dust bag (From retail) and some defects. It’s the army green canvas. I don’t know why Coach sells less than perfect items at full price! I’m going to the store today to see if I can exchange it for another. It is a keeper.
