Feeling Brown?

I’m not sure about the 90s and chocolate being the new black, but I remember when 2005-2006 I believe, because I was pushing a double stroller when my second son was born .... and dark chocolate was the really trendy alternative to black. I got a full length long shearling coat in it, boots, etc....

I think dark brown boots combined with a brown bag are Worn with white for ex. At least I thought so when I wore this combo myself And I am one of those who see no problem combining black and brown either. It all depends on the style of the items you're wearing.

I had my first child a couple of years later than you, but I remember strollers with dark brown material and they were hot at the time. Don't know about now as we're out of the stroller years.

The caramel suede is gone and the taupe Brahmin on the far right is also gone, but I’ve got others I don’t have pics of that I can post. Needless to say, I love all shades of brown. I just never realized how much.

Wearing black combat boots and brown bag today. I have a multicolour skirt and a light grey cardigan on too, I think it works. I think I'd feel different if the boots were highly glossy/formal/pointed/high. I think formal black is more city slick sharp (a look I love too)

Not a reveal but an ode to this much maligned colour.

In the neutral world, black is always with us, navy seems to have shaken off its conservative rep, grey is thought of as an edgy neutral rather than the terrible blah image it had and tan has always escaped criticism. I'm not talking about beige, caramel, tan or even cognac, those colours I like too but they have a casual edge that has helped them stay hip. Taupe for a long time seemed to have taken over as the alternative to black. BV and Gucci used to have brown as their signature colour but o longer, only in the LV world is brown a staple. Let's give a welcoming warm hand to the reintroduction of real dark brown bags into our wardrobe.

I have always liked brown, be it cool ebony or warm chocolate. This year I'm feeling brown more than ever. Not many women's bags are made in brown anymore but I'm seeing 'sold out' signs under the browns in NAP and other sites this season, must be a thing in the air.

I've been thinking abt brown bags the last 6 months or so. Maybe I'm rebelling against black / grey that has been prominent for so, so long. Not only in bags but decor too. Time for a change.

I saw a CH Carolina Herrera Andy 8 bag recently. The leather was so soft to touch. I didn't buy it bc it's the same color brown as the one and only brown bag I currently have (hobo). And I thought the Andy's shape was similar to my Antigona?
