This Gucci belt bag is from 2003. It looks great worn on the side with jeans. I remember seeing it on a chic lady with her kids at the zoo and wished I had worn mine.

Another gift from DH from 1996. The brown leather of this Dooney & Bourke is very rich.

Lastly, Coach was my first designer bag love back when they were all leather. These are from the 80-90s. The small flap on top was my first. The color was called tabac. Thanks for letting me share.

I love that Coach saddle bag! You reminded me of a few I forgot. I have a Dooney similar to yours, and a Coach Madison Biltmore in the same color. I also remembered this rare vintage Coach suede watermelon bag.

Omg, I was thinking the same thing. Love darker brown handbags. So hard to find dark brown clothing too. Have been looking for a dark brown sweater for ages to match an old wool skirt....... still looking. Hermes and Chanel refuse to make dark brown bags it seems. It’s always tan or caramel. I guess they don’t want to compete with LV ebene print.

This is one I should hardly be able to miss. I bought it as a gift for DH but stole it back, it's a huge, gorgeous brown ostrich holdall with purple suede lining (happily not too heavy) that I love to use as a weekender. I this bag.

You all inspired me to get out my browns that rarely see the light of day because I wear black and gray all the time. Maybe I should do a week of things that match brown so I can use my pretties! And maybe a couple of them should be re-homed soon so I can replace them with a rich deep dark brown like some of your lovely bags.

Particularly going gaga for the back row. As you prob know, Gucci and BVs signature, default colours were brown.

I have other browns (Damier ebene) but this thread inspired me to pull this oldie out. It’s a handmade Ignes bag. Some of you members who have been on the forum a while might remember the brand. I got caught up in the hype then. I rarely use it but pulled it out for today.
