Favorite Unusual H Neutrals?

I don't know anything as I don't yet own any H bags (but trying!), but gris asphalte and etain always make my heart do a flipflop, as does bleu nuit. (This thread is also making me think about bleu glacier!)

Would anyone consider rouge grenat as a "neutral"?

Great color choices. Yes rouge grenat for me works with almost everything.

Hope you aquire an H bag soon. (H should give everyone a chance, not the same people in rotation… but oh well. )

Thank you! I'm not a huge spender, I've spent maybe .5/1 so far, but everything I get I love. I hope my SA thinks of me when something comes around. ^_^

So sorry you are having problems getting what you would like.

Frankly you can always go to the secondary market once you have a good idea of what you would like. Lots of info here on TPF.

Frankly I gave up with our local H store after my first few items. They basically only offered stuff I had no interest in wearing.

I had a clue the second time I dropped in to our local eons ago. I was buying some scarves from my SA when the manager walked up to her and started telling her who could buy each piece that had just arrived. My SA, a lovely lady, kept saying various people requested something specific.

On several different levels I was quite uncomfortable.

However they did catch my DH and sold him a lot of stuff for me that was “highly desirable”

Now basically shop on our travels ( zero right now) & picking up pieces my friends & family decide to move on. Also remember you can buy online and by phone. DH bonded with a guy on the phone when he bought me a local very special limited edition.

Good luck how ever it plays out for you!

Since Vert Cypres can appear black in some lighting, I have starred those colors that have the same effect or close to it, but to me all the below are dark or "off" colors that play as neutrals.

Rouge H
*Bleu Nuit
Bleu Saphir (in some leathers)
*Prunoir
Bordeaux
Prune
*Vert Foncé
Vert de Gris
*Plomb
Bleu Glacier
Bleu Orage
*Ardoise
Vert Veronese
Havanne
Raisin
*Graphite
*Bleu Indigo
*Ébène
May I ask why blue saphir is considered in your view neutral only in some leathers? It’s a color I’m considering

I keep coming back to this thread to expand my neutral horizons! I
Just picked up a lovely Bag in Cuivre with GHW. It works perfectly in my wardrobe, and with my coloring. (Fair redhead!!) and I love how well it works with rose gold jewelry. I struggle to mix metals but this bag there is perfect harmony between rose gold and gold.

Other neutral faves are any olive-y green , blues (most) and Jaune ambre.

Cuivre is one of my wishlist pop neutrals. :D

How come nobody mentioned sesame color?
Anyways, my first quota bag was a jaune ambre B30phw. It was so pretty but sadly it didnt work with my wardrobe. Bought it premium brand new from a reseller.
Finally on an ordinary day, my SA left me a voicemail if i wanted to see a sesame colored bag thats available. I took it and am very happy. It is my favorite casual neutral bag and works with all colors: summer or winter. Better than gold that everyone is crazy about. Gold can get quite boring though.
Ooh great story for an "ordinary day" @htxgirl! I love sesame when I see it online but have never seen it in person.
Vert Cyprès
Vert de Gris
Prunoir
Rouge H
Etain
Graphite
'old'Raisin
Havanne
Rouge Sellier
All on my wish-list
Thanks @maxroxxherhandbags - great list! My new stalked color is Vert Rousseau. Why do you write "old" Rasin (is there a new version?)

@EdgyBagsPlz I personally would consider any midtone or dark red a neutral, but then that's very much my palate!
Vert amande is a lovely neutral to consider
@Hanash Good call, I have a couple of SLGs that are vert amande and it probably would translate beautifully to a larger piece.

@Momarama Thanks for sharing and 100% agree about olive or darker greens being neutrals! How do you wear jaune ambre as a neutral?

I use the term 'old' Raisin because I find more than any other colours the tone of Raisin seems to vary depending on the year...
I dont know if others will agree with this but I find older Raisin has a blue undertone and is a very dark rich purple.
'newer' Raisin seems to have more red in it and can tilt towards a brownish tone.
Hoping this makes sense!

Sorry I missed this. BS in Togo and Clemence is a navy blue. In chèvre it's much brighter and I wouldn't call it neutral :)

Agreed, Raisin and Rouge H to me vary more than any other classic colors in terms of dye lots and years as opposed to leathers (although Etain certainly seems to vary quite a bit!).
