I'm looking for colors similar to vert cypres (which I own/love) that could function as less-traditional "neutrals" in my wardrobe. What are your favorites?

Jaune Ambre is probably my favorite unusual neutral:giggle: My sister has a bag in Jaune Ambre that she wears with a palette of camels, browns, and creams, and it is divine. I also think Anemone (with neutrals) and Bleu Electrique (with black, blues, and/or grays) are gorgeous.

On the quieter side of the color spectrum, Rouge H is lovely with typically "professional" colors: black, navy, grays, brown.

Since Vert Cypres can appear black in some lighting, I have starred those colors that have the same effect or close to it, but to me all the below are dark or "off" colors that play as neutrals.

Rouge H
*Bleu Nuit
Bleu Saphir (in some leathers)
*Prunoir
Bordeaux
Prune
*Vert Foncé
Vert de Gris
*Plomb
Bleu Glacier
Bleu Orage
*Ardoise
Vert Veronese
Havanne
Raisin
*Graphite
*Bleu Indigo
*Ébène

You're really the queen!!!! Absolutely adore this list.
However, for darks, I would add: rouge sellier, which is a new obsession of mine, and Vert Maquis
And a (slightly lighter) neutral would be Vert de Gris

Vert de Gris is in there ;) Love Rouge Sellier, too.

Thank you for the kind words; I am rarely here these days and going forward, so it is appreciated.

I love the colors on this list (except maybe 1 or 2 of the greens) - and they fall in line with the "neutrals" I'd like for my first Birkin. (Bookmarking your post to refer back to when I update my color wishlist :amuse: )

Thank you all! I definitely appreciate all the ideas :) I had forgotten about Rouge H, a longtime fave. Anyone know if it's still being produced in the Evelyne?

You freakin' rock @QuelleFromage - it's like you read my mind, seriously. This is exactly what I was looking for!!

As others have suggested, Bleu Glacier is a gorgeous, unusual neutral.

Thanks for the photo! I don't wear much/any blue... do you think this would look very blue (vs more gray) with black outfits?

I'm going to be a total outlier here.. I find Malachite to be an unexpected neutral.

I second this--I consider malachite to be a neutral. It's been my staple this fall/winter.

Then again I consider orange to be a neutral once spring/summer hit, so I may just have a very broad definition of what constitutes a "neutral" color!
