I'm getting comfortable on Ban Island. It took a bit of time to adjust, but my husband is a federal contractor for a Washington, D.C. agency so it's making it easier to stay on the island.
So I want a Toscana bag in my collection but after opening my mail bag and moving in, I can’t seee moving out at this point…. I’m not seeing a Toscana up for sail thatiscallingmy name. I can wait….. I have plenty of bahsin. My collection now to choose from.oh hubby finally put together my rotating tower I got from Amazon. I haven’t got anything on it just yet butI will display the bags that are on my floor y display shelves are the heap plastic from Menards. I wish I had gotten all rotating towers like this one.ok it’s meant for shoes but it say for bags too

Details are important, in handbags, as in most other things. And what works for each of us may be different....not only from each other, but also over time.

I totally understand. The Toscana is beautiful (I have one too), but in addition to the weight and fixed handles, I find the leather, while stunning, shows scratches and water stains.

Pebble leather bags are great every day carefree bags, and it sounds like the version of the pebbled zip zip satchel you have
is a great design. I don't have that particular pebble zip satchel, I have quite a few of the original zip zip satchels, the ones with the leather trimming around the base of the bag and the contrasting handles. I think the ones I have are probably a tiny bit narrower across the base and also heavier. And they don't have a back pocket. If I ever get off of Ban Island, I might have to buy
the domed pebble satchel you have. It sounds
like a bag that would work
very well for my needs, and I love the addition of the back outside
zip pocket.

Thanks for sharing all the details. I've overlooked this design thinking
it wasn't an improvement on the ones I already owned. Details matter.
Everytime I see your Toscana I want one and I will have one @RuedeNesle

What a good idea. Your closet will look like a Dooney and Bourke store.

Don't tell your husband what your Alto collection costs. Given what is going
on these days, he may not be in the most understanding of moods about
your toys.

Good luck, I see a rough ride ahead for everyone. A little saving is
probably better than adding more handbags. Although I admit to wanting a
periwinkle ostrich embossed bag if the right one comes along .... right style,
right size, right price. I'm in no rush.... but I have FOMO about missing out on
the color.

For some reason, Spring around the corner or general mood, I am craving cheerful colors. I see pictures of florentine bags in yummy colors, and wish Dooney would bring some of these great colors out the way they returned archived styles.

Thanks for your kind wishes. It is not as it seems.

So the rotating tower shelves are small short and odd shape d. It turns easily but the little cubbies don’t hold much I win and put some bags on I’ll sat the minion Florentine satchel fits nicely in a cubbie. Nanos also fit goodi think I took a picture let me see

Ok so I guess the regular old plastic Menards shelves for the win….i wear a 7.5 in women’s shoes. The shoeboxes are to long forthe rotating shoe tower so I didn’t even put any shoes on yet. I still need to tighten what I did put on the tower up. It’s hard with only one working hand to make theses heavy bagsslook even and sit nice on the weird shaped shelves… I will try again

The best part is you can see and admire your bags.... and find the one you
are looking for!

I'm craving pretty colors (pink, purple, aqua, yellow, coral, lighter blues and greens) for my handbags also now that there is some
hope for Spring. In the Fall, I crave wines/bordeaux, deep green, and
even brown/camel. Of course, I already have most of the colors (of the rainbow)
so I have little excuse to buy more handbags. (But I don't own a Periwinkle leather bag... yet). I need to stay on ban island for a bit longer before
weakening to temptation.

There is good company on Ban Island. Of course, if there is a great sale, or a longed for style and color is spotted... we can always swim for it.
