I was interested in the small Rogue as well, but now I'm also thinking it may be too small for me. If the dimensions are correct, it's smaller than the Swagger 27, which was too small for me. And it's $595, which is more than I paid for the regular size Rogue. Love the olive color, though. Maybe, if it goes on sale, because one plus it won't be as heavy.

I carried my suede Rogue for the first time today, and contrary to what I first thought, I do feel the weight with hardly anything in it, but I still love it.

I still haven't used the suede Rogue....probably going back next weekend.

I keep looking at it but it is too heavy...but so pretty...decisions, decisions...

Many people on this forum are saying that the Rogue is heavy. I feel like I'm missing something, because I don't agree. (And I'm not a strong woman, believe me, I'm kinda weak physically lol.) I think a better word to describe the weight is sturdy...the weight we are feeling is the top quality of this bag. It's not canvas coated in leather. It's leather throughout, and the suede inside also added additional weight. The sturdiness is something that attracted me to the bag, and I don't find it too heavy at all. I think we have all been used to the lightweight of the lower quality Coach that has been out for the past 5 years. Now that they're back and better than they have been, I think it's something to get used to. Worked for me! :) Weight of this bag doesn't bother me at all, but I know everyone is different. :)

(For reference, what I carry in my Rogue: full size wallet, sunglass case and sunglasses, bottle of water, cellphone, small makeup bag so I don't stain the inside with gloss.)

I understand about decisions. I'm the same way with the oxblood Rogue that I keep going back and forth over whether I should return it. I love this purse so much that I will probably keep the oxblood one as well.

I carry about the same in mine as you do: Coach glove tanned key case, glove tanned clutch, eyeglass case, coin case, Samsung galaxy note 4. I felt the weight today, but it's not uncomfortable to the point I won't carry it on a regular basis. However, when I first got the Rogue and put it over my shoulder, I also felt the way you do and questioned why people were saying it's heavy.

I normally carry Coach saddle bags, which is also a high quality leather bag, but it's so much lighter, and I usually wear those crossbody (with the exception of the saddle bag 35s) so that's probably another reason that I feel the weight of the Rogue.

If there's one thing we all appreciate in TPF is that our bags are as personal as underwear, and we all have our own (often precise) criteria and preferences.

I carry the same things as Hallie1983, minus the water, plus earbuds. In terms of objective weight, I just checked- it's 6 lbs. when packed with (my) daily basics.

So, rogue + my daily stuff= 6lbs. Most days, I add more - umbrella, gloves, book or iPad mini -- or all of the above. All these things fit easily- and probably double the carrying weight of the bag.

So the bag weighs what it weighs. With stuff, individual results may vary. The experiences described here seem more about burden than weight - what it feels like to you, with your stuff, in your preferred carrying position, for whatever length of time you need ito carry it comfortably. That feels different to each of us.

I agree with Hallie- this bag is spectacular. It's also substantial. It will work better for some of us than for others - it's less about whether it is heavy or not (it mostly is) and more about how heavy it feels - and that is unique to each of us.

For me, it works. It's not my lightest bag, but it's not my heaviest. (I tilt heavy with most). It will withstand my urban life, keep some things secure (wallet, phone, SLGs) even as others are a one-handed grab away (tissues, gloves, transit pass). I can wear with both arms free, flip it around to rest in my lap on the train without ever taking it off, get in and out with one hand while it's on me during the day (cross body), yet carry with more grace- on shoulder or by handles at work or at night. For me, the materials + design + craftsmanship + versatility + function + that leather aroma= yes.

What I love about TPF is the collective love of bags, celebrating the experiences of others even when vastly different from our own. I know of few other places where (mostly) women bask in the delight of others with so much generosity, support, and grace.

Thank you, my tribe! :smile1:

I guess I have a different frame of reference...cause it's heavy to me!

I have leather bags from a variety of designers and this is a heaviest bag I have right now.

I think it's the hardware more so than the leather. I had a Dakotah whipstitch chain tote that I loved...but it killed my shoulder so I sold it. Luckily I haven't worn the Rogue so I can return it for a refund.

Anyway, I'm glad you love your Rogue! :smile1:

I completely get your indecision too! It's tough call because it is a beauty...but, I know I won't wear it enough. Beautiful, yes...practical, no.

I really like the 1941 collection so I am thinking about trading it in for another saddle bag or a Dinky 24.:graucho:

Great post but...6 pounds!? :faint:

I try to travel light...my friends are surprised by how little I carry...phone, compact wallet, small cosmetic bag, work badge...that's it. I can get away with it since I live in S. Cal. and can leave all sorts of back-up stuff else in my car. :p

You're totally right, I forgot about the hardware. It's pretty hefty. I think it's like replies to my post said--everyone has different frames of reference. I just took a mental scan of my previous bags and I have always used bigger bags that are on the *hefty* side--makes sense why this one does not seem heavy to me at all! I also still stand by the newer, improved quality of Coach is going to weigh more. Attention to detail, high quality leather, and solid hardware will cost in the weight department. But everything aside, it is a beautiful bag, but definitely not for everyone. (Just as other Coach bags are not for me.)

Cheers, ladies! Thanks for entertaining my post and thoughts. :)

Anyone know what colors in the regular are coming up soon? I keep forgetting where I've read it. I just keep finding info on the new small and large sizes that I'm not really interested in, medium is perfect for me.

Olive, Saddle, Dark Denim, Red - and "BP/Oxblood" and BP/Black (someone posted the BP is probably black hardware - like the Swagger -). Olive, Saddle and Dark Denim are due in distribution in May - As of yesterday, they still can't be back-ordered.
