Uh oh, I'm kind of loving that oxblood ace satchel and the black shadow crossbody if it's not too big. Just ordered a dakotah off FOS. Wondering if I should return it now. But you can never have too many black bags with silver or black hardware, right? (I used to buy one of those every year before I joined TPF - that is my "go-to" style of bag. Decisions, decisions.... :shrugs: )

Will I love the small black dakotah enough to keep it, and maybe buy a shadow too??? (Rhetorical question....)

I know I'm biased because I LOVE dakotah but to me the shadow didn't compare in person. My SA brought me 2 out from the back to play with and she and the manager said they liked dakotah better. I think a lot of SAs would have tried to convince me on the shadow so they could get the sale that day (especially since I had a return) but they both preferred the dakotah. She put me in client tracker for when they come out November/December.

I definitely plan on getting the oxblood ace when I get to see it in person though!

Hi everyone!
I posted yesterday about picking up the burgundy Ace & black Shadow at my local store. After bringing them home & truly trying them with all my stuff, the Ace is a keeper but sadly the Shadow will be going back. Its a superb bag but I personally will only downsize what I carry so much & despite the organizational features of this bag, I was not in love. I have the Dakotah & I will stick to that as my black more casual bag.
That said, I cannot recommend the Ace enough though & will be interested to see the other colors it will come in as time goes on.

I am a small bag person, so I'll check out the Shadow anyway. I was concerned that it would be too large. If the quality is good, I may get one. Although when I tried on Chloe Drew mini I wasn't in love, but that may have had more to do with the price point. Or the silhouette, IDK! Either way, I'll wait for a big discount if I bite - I have plenty of bags - I just use the black ones with neutral or silver hardware the most.

Sorry the shadow didn't work out. I'll probably check them out this week. If it holds at least as much as the mini duffle, it would work for me.

Someone may have said this already and I blocked it out because it was too traumatizing. My SA just told me that the embossed green Ace that we saw on the fall runway will not be produced. Say it ain't so!

New dakotahs are coming out in November / December? If so, do you have pics?

I doubt it. The Ace in green is not embossed, at least not yet. I just received one and posted a reveal on a different thread. If the Ace green were embossed, I am sure the price would be in the $700s or more. Eeeks!

My SA didn't have pics yet but the tiny ones are coming out in oilslick and hologram and are in the beginning of this thread I think. She then found the large size dakotah coming out in oilslick that she said would be end of November /early December. I didn't ask about any other colors but I'm guessing there will be some more.
