I didn't know the Ace Satchel was out already. I was just at a boutique today. The Salesperson showed me the book. I thought they didn't have the book anymore. It wasn't red though.

I saw a metallic green ace that I liked so I'm going to start saving. I hope I get to see it in person. I hope there is a PCE.

Also, the store I visited changed the look of the store. It is just way too dark and ordinary in there. The salesperson said it looked nicer but I disagreed with her. I liked the bright lights. The bags popped more. I really was eager to leave the dreary store.

I totally agree with you about the store being too dark now. I told the SAs that same thing when I went to the re-opening of one of the stores near me. I've only been back once since that then though I was in that mall two times this week. And the sad thing is they've remodeled the men's outlet near me in the same manner and they are redoing the women's outlet and I think that's going dark too.

I think that is the trade off though, the higher cost to get the glove tanned leathers. Not you just general 'you' ;) but this is where the heart of the problem is.. people want better leather from Coach but don't want the higher price tag.. something has to give...

I again think the price is up there and not a level i am comfortable paying but i do get why it is... ah, i want my cake and to eat it too. lol :p
This is very true. And some of the great bags of the past I can only afford years later when sold on ebay (legacy anniversary bags, etc). When I see what they retailed even back then, there is no way I would have spent that much on a bag. So I don't think it is a new thing for them to charge more for certain bags with certain leathers.
