You know what I hate a fake coach bag all the same but no need bring someone down you know? Some ppl just cant afford the pricey price tag that comes along with trying to fit in and have the IT items! Im thinking this is why ppl have such low self esteem and have to do things like this! You know they prolly might think that you to have a fake coach purse! They might not even know they have a fake one unless they paid $30 for it.

Just my 2 cents Im adding in. If ppl didnt buy fake bags then there would be no knockoffs and then some ppl wouldnt have anyone to talk about now would we?

I don't try to put anyone down. But I see it like this. There are many people who make negative comments about a person spending $100, $200, $400 on Coach items, but yet those same people will go out and buy a fake bag....why? to have the Coach look? if you want Coach, buy Coach.....if you feel the prices are ridiculous then buy another cute bag from Macy's or something

I agree. I think that a genuine Liz Claiborne/Fossil/Nine West or any other less expensive bag looks much better than a fake Coach or a fake anything for that matter. I would never look down on anyone because of their socioeconomic status, but I do feel that carrying a fake replica of a bag is a tacky impersonation of one's self.

And technically, buying/selling fake Coach bags is illegal - it is a trademark infringement.

In the US, selling is illegal, but buying isn't. My mom was in Seattle last week (we live in Georgia) and she told me she saw a vendor selling fake Coach bags. The very next sentence out of her mouth was how horrible they looked. LOL. I can only imagine the horror of it all. I just thought to myself, "Ew."

I hate fakes... they make the real ones look bad.

I think this statement should actually be reversed. An authentic Coach bag makes fakes look bad. No fake out there can make my authentic Coach bag look bad. My bags are quality bags from a company that stands behind their product. A fake has no one standing behind them and there is nothing quality about them. It's a desirable brand and people think that they'll have some sort of status by carrying a bag with crooked Cs all over it. Some do it on purpose, shame on them and others unwittingly, which is unfortunate. But as I sit here glancing at my leather Carly I cannot help but think that there is no fake that can make my bag look bad. And that makes me very proud!

I see lots of fakes here in Boston, it always ticks me off to see a lady dressed nice with a really crappy fake. I saw an older lady today with a colorful large DISGUSTING LV tote monstrosity and it didn't even have the "LV" on it, it had like "C" and "D" or whatever all over it. YUCK!

I totally agree! Before I began the Coach obsession all I ever carried were Nine West bags. I still have a couple of demi purses that I like carrying for special events (that is until I replace them with Coach :p)

Here's my thinking on fakes. Ok some people can't afford the real Coach bags, but if you buy a fake for $50 lets say and it falls apart in 3 months, you go out and buy another one for $50 and the same thing happens. By the end of the year, you could have saved that money and bought a real Coach that will last years. I used to buy a new purse at least once every month. When I bought my first Coach, I told myself no more cheap bags. For what I was spending on them, I could save and buy an quality bag. So now that is what I do. I basically only buy Coach once a year, and I don't buy anything in between.

Well, I have a lady that I work with that runs a business selling fake purses and jewelry. She has brought a lot of her stuff into work and people buy it right up. She is a very nice person but there is this urge inside of me that wants her to get busted. She does tell everyone that her purses are not real but she still shouldn't sell them. It is a shady business. I have told her many times that she could shop the outlet and probably make a lot more money on the real thing.

She brought some fake Coach in one day and wanted my opinion on the quality. I just told her they were fake and anyone that knew anything about Coach would know that. She targets young girls and grandmas. It is evil!!!
