I thought selling fakes is illegal? I wonder why the feds don't shut the website down, and other websites too. Hmmm...

(1) It is a never ending battle. They shut one down they create a new internet address.
(2) Which jurisdiction has authority? They are being sold in Canada and the United States but are (for the most part) being manufactured in other places like hong kong.
(3)...the list can go on and on and on.

The price is reflecting the bag is fake. I hate some eBay seller sell those fake bag as authentic Chanel bag. It's very hard to tell, therefore, have them authenticate in the forum before purchase.

It's kinda sad, really. It's a world wide situation. But there are 2 different cases:
1. The person is deceived by the seller and end up buying a fake item thinking is the real deal.
2. The person know it's fake and buy it anyways.

I have an acquaintance who bought a fake LV bag. She doesn't know I know, but it's obvious: the colors, the model, the details. I'm sure she know exactly what she was getting when she chose it. I don't understand.

I think anything fake is unethical. Think of all people who had to pay alot of money for a real one and to have fakes around that looks almost identical is such a rip-off!

Fake anything sucks! I am so annoyed right now because I was looking up seasonal Chanel and came across a website that sells fake chanel and they even make replicas of seasonal bags!! I see so many of the fake classics and thought it would be safe to walk around with a seasonal because there would be less fakes of the same bag and what do you know they look almost identical! I dont know if they have just copied the photos of the real ones and send you some that look totally fake or what the heck, but they look REAL and its frightening! based on pictures alone I would probably think they were real on ebay and even consider paying over two grand for one and that is scary!! I hate the idea of paying so much money on a purse that can be replicated and some random teenager buy one that looks identical and paid two hundred for it! I understand the appeal of Chanel and how the quality of great and bags can outlive you and what not, but then I hear people on here saying the new ones are horrible quality... so now I wonder is it worth buying? Ahhhh these stupid fakes really messed me up!

I totally understand. But you must always remember that yours is the real one. And those fake don't really look the same as the original bags. Either the stitches are too large, or loose, the material ins't leather, it's disproportional, the color is different.

Those are details that only who really knows the real deal will see. From ordinary eyes, a bag like this may even pass unnoticed, but who knows, knows.

Totally agree! It's about how it makes you feel knowing you have the real thing and it's that much more precious. I have seen a friend carry a fake once and thought to myself, why can't I , no one will know but when I inspected it, it made me feel "dirty" and just felt wrong. That's when I knew it wasn't for me, beside all the "moral issues" which have always weighed on my conscience. I'm sure you have heard this a million times but..."if you carry a fake, what else do you fake"...but hey, to each his own. We all make our own decisions.

I couldn't agree more. I doesn't feels good. It seems like it's wrong.

But hey, I can see a positive side: you can buy a fake bag and use it a little while to test yourself, see if that is a bag you really want or it's something that will soon come to pass. The thing is I wouldn't pay Us$200.00 or US$300.00 just to try a purse..

Yeah... wouldn't work for me... I wouldn't be satisfied until I own the right one.

And isn't it SO much sweeter when you do get the real thing!?

I have a question. I have a classic large flap which I know is genuine cause I bought it from a Chanel boutique but I notice where I have seen some classic flaps that have the serial number from the authenticity card embossed on the bag. Do all bags have this cause I can't find it on mine?
