Although all fakes are bad...I am not as worried about those websites. At least the prices of those bags reflect that they are fake. What I find COMPLETELY awful are people who sell fake bags for REAL prices.

On the subject of fake Chanel, can anyone answer this question?

Did Chanel ever make bags that do not have the (R) sign?
I'm talking about the interior - usually has Chanel(R) in gold or silver, but I've seen a couple of bags online with just Chanel, no (R). Are they fakes??

exactly! my worry is that people are selling these bags on ebay as the real thing. forgive my ignorance, but how would you tell from the pics that the bag is fake? other than the chanel tag, of course..

Well first off, if the seller has 0 feedback, or the pictures are blurry or taken from a distance, then don't even consider it.
If that is not the case, then have to make a judgement based on the details of all the photos. Every stitch should be perfect and should line up correctly. The zippers should be either be Chanel brand or one if the other brands that Chanel has used over the years. The serial number should be the right style (check yoogis closet for examples).

It's all in the little details. But I'm still not sure about whether the (R) has to be there inside!

Fake anything sucks! I am so annoyed right now because I was looking up seasonal Chanel and came across a website that sells fake chanel and they even make replicas of seasonal bags!! I see so many of the fake classics and thought it would be safe to walk around with a seasonal because there would be less fakes of the same bag and what do you know they look almost identical! I dont know if they have just copied the photos of the real ones and send you some that look totally fake or what the heck, but they look REAL and its frightening! based on pictures alone I would probably think they were real on ebay and even consider paying over two grand for one and that is scary!! I hate the idea of paying so much money on a purse that can be replicated and some random teenager buy one that looks identical and paid two hundred for it! I understand the appeal of Chanel and how the quality of great and bags can outlive you and what not, but then I hear people on here saying the new ones are horrible quality... so now I wonder is it worth buying? Ahhhh these stupid fakes really messed me up!

Just because they admit they are fake doesn't mean they aren't doing anything wrong. Obviously, someone who tries to sell a fake as real is much worse.
