I know right!! @kimmiesue hooked me too. I loved the look but her review and pics sealed the deal for me 😂. I put this bag in my cart 10 times before I saw she had gotten one and loved it. She definitely helped me with my purchase of it. I’ve been annoyed with my graceful far too long!
The zipper is a game changer and the details are so fun!
In regards to your questions I’ll try to answer best I can.
1- this bag is more narrow than the graceful and though I have never had a problem with corner wear on my graceful I’m sure over years of use it would occur. My graceful still looks pristine and I use it regularly. This bag is taller than the graceful but a thousand times more slouchy.
I will add like Kimmie said the strap on men’s bags are heavier with larger hardware than a woman’s bag. If you are used to that you will be fine with it. I have a bunch of extra straps for another men’s bag and found I loved a 14”-16” strap. But like Kimmie said as well the original strap is very accommodating and adjustable. I wouldn’t have a problem using the original strap at all. It’s very sturdy.

2- the strap is stiff enough. I think like any new strap they need to be worked. I buy secondary straps that are softer leather and love them. I get them off amazon and they have a color called honey brown that matches these darker vachetta bags perfectly 😊

I am wonering if either of you considered the black version (LV Night) of this bag? If so, was there something that was a dealbreaker about it?

In general, I don't love all-black bags, in part because I wear so much black, and in part because I actually prefer black and silver and that seems harder to find most of the time. The LV Night version of this bag, much like this monogram one, seems so tempting right now!

Next to last for me arrived today, before going back to the LV ban island 😅
I love dark brown and blue so I had to grab a piece from the chocolate line.
It’s absolutely so rich and dark. The leather isn’t as thick as my carryalls in empriente. The lining is a gorgeous deep brown. No interior pockets, but it does have a pouch.
I have never tried the loop hobo so we are giving it a shot. I love the medium size and the really narrow profile. I find empriente leather can be stiff for awhile so I was worried it would be too stiff for this shape. I also have heard of problems with the monogram canvas loop so hopefully that won’t be an issue with the empriente one. Fingers crossed 🤞.

In case anyone was looking at the chocolate, it’s a beautiful shade of brown 🤎🤎🤎

The otg and petite sac plat watercolour look amazing. It’s so well made. Especially that watercolour psp, it’s stunning. Your friend is really talented and skilful to create the pieces identical.

I actually didn’t consider the black as I don’t carry a lot of black bags. Black is my least used color in my collection.
I bet it hangs beautifully though. I would love to see it if someone has one!!
I don’t live close to an LV store so unfortunately can’t usually try on in person but if you can I say do it!! And take pics so I can see

I hang it off the side d ring, ready to go whenever I'm in a plane, tightly packed public transport or travelling in dense areas. Definitely need to lock up your speedy when travelling in high density pickpocket areas such as Europe. It's probably one of the only bags that have this option and it's so so useful.

That’s so interesting that you actually use your lock as intended! I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone do that.

I definitely haven’t—I reach into my bag every couple of minutes for something, whether it’s my phone, lip balm, tissues, or whatever else. Locking it would be impossible for me! 🤣

There's too many cases of pickpockets on planes now, so I always lock my stuff up. Rather be safe than sorry.

I don't use the lock, I don't like the added weight and how unnecessary it is to carry a lock around. So it stays in the closet with the corresponding keys in plastic bag.

Congratulations on your new Speedy 20! I love my Speedy 20 in monogram that im considering to get the ebene, but i have the speedy b25 in ebene so im really torn. I used to have and love the Nano Speedy but eversince i changed my phone into the Pro max, i couldnt use my nano speedy so i decided to sell it and get the Speedy 20. I love it! No regrets. The Nano Speedy old version can fit a lot except for my huge mobile. Love them for everyday. My go to bag nowadays. As for the lock, i never hang in my bags, it just heavy and gets a lot of scratch. I guess you can sell if you dont plan to use it. Even for the strap of the speedy 20, its quiet heavy so i use a monogram strap that i bought separately. Anyhow, Love the speedy. Congratulations!
