I went to Thank You for DES. Happy to chat if you want to message me!
would love to chat with you if youre down, whats your kkt id? :)

Hi, I just got incisional DES there. They only have one English consultant right now and she also works with local patients. And they have been receiving more inquiries since a few of us who went there this year have been happy with our experience haha. She will get back to you but it will take some time :)

May I ask what your experience was like there and which doctor you used? Thankyou and ilac are at the top of my list for dec and I want to prebook my surgery but they both require non refundable deposits. Thank you!

I consulted with Dr Kim in person for revision DES and rhino. He was very patient and thorough during the consultation and was one of my top choices.

The only thing that stopped me from choosing Thank You was that their Dr for lifting seemed mediocre at best, and I wanted to go to a clinic that did both well.

Hi, I'm thinking of consulting with Dr. Kim in the future. How long was your consultation with him?? I want to make sure that I get a detailed consultation and hope they don't rush me or anything :-s

Of all the doctors I saw, my consultation with Dr Kim was by far the longest. I can’t give an exact timeframe but it easily would’ve been 10-15min. Not only was it a two-way discussion, but he also measured my eyelids and tested out different crease heights on my own eyes using toothpicks (or something similar). Whereas other doctors will mostly talk at you.

Also Dr Kim has really good English so you can talk to him directly without a translator.

Hi! What do you mean mediocre? I was actually looking into them for face lifting, but I haven't really done further research yet.

I felt like the Dr didn’t give me the most effective lifting solution for my face. My main areas of concern were jowling around the corners of my mouth and nasiolabial folds. Even though the sagging wasn’t that prominent in both areas, I still wanted something done to improve the area and prevent further sagging as much as possible.

Anyway he suggested a mid-face lift and Ulthera on the bottom cheeks to slim that area out. I didn’t really like that suggestion because of the risks associated with the procedures. With the mid-face lift, the incision is usually done along the bottom lash line so there’s not only a risk of visible scarring but over time you can develop scleral show at the bottom of your eyes.

Then when I expressed concerns about Ulthera since it reportedly causes sagging (if you look up “Ulthera results” online, the first search result that comes before that is “Ulthera ruined my face” so you’ll see what I mean), the Dr gave this incredulous laugh/scoff and said, “Well if it’s so bad then why is it used by thousands of people all across the world today?”

I mean, just because it’s in frequent use doesn’t mitigate the risks of getting bad results. Plus I didn’t really appreciate his attitude. I acknowledge I might’ve wasted a highly skilled surgeon’s time by asking a really dumb question, but that doesn’t mean I deserved a dumbed down response. If he had given me some sort of medical explanation then maybe I would’ve reconsidered his suggestions. But he didn’t, and I thought to myself if this is his approach now then how will it be when I’ll have a billion more “dumb questions” during my post op recovery.

The attention to detail and the overall vibe wasn’t there for me to get my lifting done at Thank You. It’s a shame because I really would’ve loved to have my revision DES and nose done by Dr Kim. But I’m super satisfied with the results I got from Inique instead so no regrets.

Thanks for the reply ! Oh I see. I didn't know that the mid face lift would be in that area. I had assumed it was also around the earlobe. I wouldn't have opted for that choice either tbh, I agree with you. I'm glad you're happy with your current results ! How much did your mini lift end up being at Inique? I don't have much going besides these prominent nasolabial folds. Seems crazy to get a face lift of any kind in your 20s (speaking about me lol), I assume you're around the same age too. But it's like I don't want to mess with filler or threads either. How much improvement did your notice and if you're ever comfortable, would love to see before/afters just of the folds. I agree with you on ulthera tbh. I've been looking into that. And it's not that great.. it's a nightmare if fat disappears from a certain area cause regrafting it would be extremely difficult.
