Experiences with Luxe du Jour?

I am glad that I read this thread before considering their buyout offer. I came here looking for info on if they provide a prepaid shipping label to ship the bag (like Fashionphile does) but it appears that they do not from what I read here. I didn't find any info on their site stating either way and didn't want to accept their offer to find out. They provided me a quote in 1 day and it was $50 more than Fashionphile, but if I have to pay for shipping, it seems like a wash and I have had experience selling to Fashionphile before whereas this was my first quote with LDJ. I couldn't find any info on whether they provided a 1099 or not whereas Fashionphile states that they do not. I just don't know why several key terms of selling to them are hidden from their site and after reading here it seems like they won't be responsive to messages plus not sure I want to risk they "losing" my item or whatever from the stories above!

I consigned and sold with both, i never get a 1099 from them! For my items, sometimes fp is higher and sometimes ldj is higher (i find luxe du jour better for my Chanel and Hermes items usually). I live in Glendale so I just drop off my stuff, but I know ldj offered to give me a prepaid label since I had a lot of items since I like to do a lot of spring cleaning and get rid of a lot of stuff at once but you have to ask them, but with fp its easy to get. The only thing I find ldj does slightly better they are a lot faster when i sell my items to them but its not that long. fp is usually 2 weeks and ldj is 1 week butI am patient :giggle:.Overall I have had great experiences with both fp and ldj! (I would stay away from TRR though, had bad bad bad experiences with them :annoyed:)

It has been awhile since I sold to Fashionphile but before I recall only waiting like a week from when they get my item to get paid. I didn't recall it being a long wait at all. I don't want to have to ask for a label. I feel like they should all provide it (especially to those who don't live near their location) as I know they are turning around and selling the items for a lot more than what I get paid so it is the least they can do :)
I have seen some bad stories about TRR so have stayed away from them (never bought or sold on their site).

I just made my first purchase with them on Monday - and my item was delivered today, two days later - from Canada (I am in NY)! I bought a pair of patent Chanel sandals - they are brand new and were a great price! I paid for the option to "Return For Any Reason" through their partner SEEL since Chanel footwear sometimes doesn't work for me - so that price was added, in addition to a Delivery Guarantee but so far I am happy with dealing with them.

I shopped with LDJ recently to buy a couple of products. Overall, they seemed fine, however, I’m not a fan that they use DHL. DHL prematurely said my package arrived, but based on the tracker, it was somewhere else. So freaked out and emailed LDJ. I’m currently stationed overseas so have to rely on a APO/DPO address. When checking with the mailroom, they told me they didn’t receive it. LDJ was responsive and said they would look into it. I did get it a couple days after, but DHL is a pain. I let them know my thoughts on courier choice.
Otherwise, LDJ did help me through it.

Hi everyone,

I’m quite inexperienced with luxury bags (three bags in collection - Givenchy Antigona, LV alma BB and Gucci convertible micro GG dome) and am thinking of trying out the preloved market. I live in Canada so am trying to optimize shipping hurdles as well. I’ve been eyeing and researching Luxe du Jour and have my heart set on a Celine luggage nano...surprisingly, there is not much on the Internet or in this forum (have searched all threads for Luxe du Jour/LDJ).

Wondering if you have bought with LDJ and what your experience was like? Or, do you know of or have heard of positive or nightmarish experiences with LDJ? I’m most concerned about the possibility of fakes slipping through, despite their 100% authentic guarantee...

Thank you!
As a long-time collector with deep experience in the luxury resale space, I approached Luxe Du Jour with reasonable expectations rooted in industry norms: transparency, professionalism, and respect for the client. Unfortunately, what followed was a clear breakdown in those standards.

The item I received was not accurately represented in its listed condition. When I raised my concerns, I was met not with care or accountability, but with indifference and deflection—an approach that contradicts the very foundation of luxury retail, where trust is everything.

In Canadian consumer markets, accurate disclosure is not optional—it’s a legal and ethical baseline. Luxe Du Jour’s refusal to engage meaningfully reflects a troubling lack of responsibility and maturity in handling post-sale concerns.

Luxury, in its truest sense, is not about logos or presentation—it’s about principle, integrity, and the quality of service behind the product. In that regard, Luxe Du Jour falls remarkably short.

To future buyers: be mindful. What gleams on the surface may fade quickly under scrutiny.
