I have bought a few times then sold with them. I changed my mind for one of the bag and they offered to buy out but I wanted it back. They end up shipped back without insurance and guess what the package was lost. The tracking never moved. At first they said it never happened before, then after they said it happened a few times but rare, no apologies or anything and all they did was gave me a 100 e-transfer from postal insurance when my bags was almost brand new and worth like 3G. Honestly I love their wide selection and their shipping and paid out is fast. Buying never have issue because they do insure, they also cover duty but you do need to ask. I got charged without knowing I could ask for my duty money back. I don’t think I will ever sell through them again because I felt so bad, I have no where to complaint and they didn’t care about the package was lost because I never asked for insurance and pay extra for shipping. The option was never offered to me. I didn’t know. There are more to it but I don’t want to get black list. After almost one year I saw my bag was for sale on their site. I know it was my bag because there are some details I recognized it. Anyways, make sure you ask to pay extra for insurance if you ever decide to ship back your item. Good luck!

After reading this thread, I decided to submit some quotes. The turnaround time was between 3-7 days.

The consignment prices were slightly under retail for brand new items.
Buyout prices were 25% to 40% less than consignment prices.

Ultimately, I didn't send anything in.

My experience with them was terrible and I would NOT recommend using their company for buyouts/consignment.

First let me say that this company is very unprofessional. They basically receive your bag and try to find an issue with it and lower their original offer once they receive it. (I think this is their intention with EVERYONE) They do this after making you pay for shipping to them. If you decline their lowball offer they then make you pay to return the bag back. I sent them a brand new bag I purchased less than a year ago.

The company is not even knowledgeable about these designer handbags. They made claims on my bag that weren’t even true in order to slash their buyout offer.
I also read their fine print that states if you want your bag back early with consignment they charge a $250 fee and if your bag happens to be fake they charge a $450 fee for you to get it back.
In my opinion these little attempts to pocket extra money is petty and just downright poor business.
I give them an F

I recently sold a watch with them and had no issues with the transaction. I’ve been able to drop off and pick up so I haven’t had to deal with any shipping issues.

Anyone has experience renting out their bags with them? I'm thinking about it but reading these horror stories with selling am rethinking. How much do you actually get per rental and any bad experiences?

I'm actually local to their USA office, bought 2 bags, consigned a couple, but on my purchases so I picked up and didn't pay a shipping fee, only had to pay processing fees; bags are beautiful and I gifted it to my mother-in-law for Mother's Day this year and she was thrilled!

Then I actually did their rental program and rented out a Chanel Minaudière Perfume Bottle Bag (about $250 for the week) they had because it's something I wouldn't buy myself but I wanted to use for an event - it went smooth and I am considering my next rentals. However, note, I am able to pick up from that location so it saves me on shipping costs! Hope this helps!

Just wanted to add my experience consigning with LuxeDuJour: I initially had a good experience with them. I consigned a Louis Vuitton bag which was sold pretty fast and I received payment pretty quickly. I live in Vancouver and at the time (2021) they said I could drop off my item to one of their representatives in Vancouver. Drop-off was at someone's residential house. Shortly after, I decided to consign a Cartier Love Necklace with them and went through the same process of receiving a quote through email and then through their instruction, proceeded to contact the same person in Vancouver to drop off my item. I figured my necklace wouldn't sell as quickly and I wasn't in a rush to sell. Life got in the way (was pregnant at the time and had my first baby) and honestly forgot about the necklace for a while. I then emailed them a couple of times after 2 years asking for an update as to where my item was and received no response. I can't find the necklace on the website. I just sent them a DM on IG to see if I'll get a response through there. This situation may be a one-off, but overall I wouldn't be comfortable consigning with them again.
