I have had a small leather Longchamps since the 1990s and it's superb (the colour of a dragonfly's wings). Now and again I check them out, I really like the new Balzane Line. I don't like the KM collection, overpriced and faux-rock.

Here's what I think generally. The leather is fine and they're sturdy and they look great but the interior feels compromised after being with Gucci and the interior material feels thin and plasticky to me which is a bit of a put off.

Interesting.

I'd be using the bag for work. I'm a Dr and throw my bag all around the operating room, so I don't like taking my Premier Designer bags to work. I'd probably be okay with the inside not being perfect for what I'd be using it for.

Thanks!

I bought a Longchamp Roseau in Fuschia Croc. It was a lovely bag but if I recall correctly the bag has no feet or anything on the bottom. Additionally the trim around the bag is very rubbery. It feels like it will be a dirt magnet and will wear badly. I say buy one if you can get it at a good price but I would not pay full price for one as I don't think they are worth the retail. I felt it was worth more like $189-$200 not $400+. I agree with the poster who said the interior felt cheap or no frills. I ended up returning mine.

I have two longchamp crossbody leather bags. One Veau Foulonne in bronz and 4x4 in ecru. Both were bought last year. And both of them used every day. I do not use any other bags. And just last week I got my first LV crossbody as well. So Longchamp still looks like new. Just corners are wiped away a little bit in bronze but it is hard to see. Ecre one got some marks from my jeans. But believe me I have never been really careful for the bags. Otherwise both looks still like new.
Even last week my mother-in-law asked me to bring her to the shop because she wanted the same one in bronze. So, to compere LV. The inner material for Longchamp is really special with the shining logos and my LV has just a basic cotton :thinkin:.
Next year I will be able to see which one in more durable

If you have more questions I can try to answer ;)

I'm looking for a cute, mid-priced leather bag to replace my current work purse. I'm typically a Gucci/LV person, but I don't carry those to work. Anyhow, I came across a leather Longchamp online that I really like. However, I don't know anything about their leather products.

Are they quality? Do they hold up well? My work bag gets thrown all over the place.

TIA
I'm new to posting so please tell me if i'm doing it wrong!!

Longchamp does make so beautiful, lightweight, and durable bags. If you need something that will take a beating for work or everyday, the best lines to look into are roseau, 4x4, and veau foulonne. There are some other collections like cosmos that wear well too, but are slightly heavier. au sultan and balzane are gorgeous and will last you for a long time, but are not the thickest and most durable leathers they make.

Hope this helps! or if you've already bought yours, what do you think so far??

Longchamp leather handbags are known for being great quality and quite durable. They are especially known for being light weight. I have two of their leather bags; the Roseau and an Au Sultan satchel. I love the interior lining and don't think it feels cheap at all. It's a nice nylon that is tightly placed, not saggy like some bags. Longchamp tends to make simple straight forward bags; they don't have a lot of pockets but most of their leathers are well structured, so finding things isn't difficult. My Au Sultan has metal feet on the bottom to protect it. (My Roseau doesn't.) I love Longchamp bags! I even have two of their nylon bags, which are amazing for travel.
