^ You're such a sweetie! If I did that my mom would yell at me for spending so much on her, she's not the designer handbag type heh.

I wanted a BH because I needed a tote bag & I haven't seen many people with it.

How do you guys keep the handles from getting stained/dirty? I live in New York and that's the main thing keeping me from getting one. I know they can be replaced but I don't want the patina to mismatch. :sad2:

hehehe... i wash my hands before i touch any of my bags... which basically means i'm washing my hands all the time! :amuse: good motivation for good hygiene habits...

Not only is the batignolles less expensive but is really practical. I bought the horizontal in January and i just love it. I'm one of those who carry a lot of "junk" and i can just easily toss in this purse. From water bottles to books this purse is really awesome. I bought it coz its just great for every day and the price isnt toooo steep.

LOL! Too true. Unfortunately, I take the subway everyday and it'd just take one encounter with a dirty staircase rail or similar to get it dirty (you should see my hands sometimes :wacko: ). I'm going to call LV tomorrow and inquire about getting it made in Damier. That'll solve the vachetta and the dirt problems! If I drove to work, this wouldn't even be an issue :p.

I am a schlep around the kitchen sink type, and this holds all of my stuff, while still looking darling and stylish, plus it fits over the shoulder. I adore the Speedy, Alma, Ellipse, but handheld just doesn't work for me.

great idea!!! :nuts:
as an alternative, some ppl use some kinda waterproofer on the leather, so that u can clean it with wet wipes or something...
don't take my word for it tho! i'm too paranoid to put anything on my beloveds in fear of ruining it...!
