"Everyday" necklaces

Like many of you, I have a box full of "everyday" necklaces that I thought would be "the one". As it now turns out, I have been wearing a stylized silver heart with a tiny diamond on a black silk cord (no it's not even Tiffany) that I love wearing, round the clock, because the black silk cord (who knew?!) is so so easy and durable to wear. Go figure!

I've never really given this a thought until I joined this forum, and now I see many of you have "everyday" necklaces.

I guess I'm exploring the idea.

Do most of you just have the one everyday necklace, and just change it for special occasions?

Or is it quite common to have several "everyday" options, and change them according to mood, clothes etc, such as having a gold and a white metal option?

I'm giving serious thought to the best way forward in building a quality jewellery collection and I'm trying to figure out the sorts of pieces I need.

Thanks!

About 11 years ago, I bought my first piece from VCA - a 10-motif yellow gold vintage alhambra necklace. I pretty much keep it on 24/7 and have not regretted the purchase for a second. I can't tell you how many compliments I've gotten on it, and it's totally low-maintenance. Good luck building your jewelry collection!!!

My everyday necklace is a simple diamond cross necklace from Tiffany in YG , it's the small size its perfect for everyday it's very sparkly too as you would expect with Tiffany diamonds :)
I'd recommend this as an everyday necklace
I now layer it with another necklace but it's perfect to wear alone too

I wear the hearts on fire 'Beloved' pendant in 0.55ct as my every day necklace. I love it because it sparkles so much and the chain is adjustable!

My every day USED to be a rotation between the tiffany's heart shaped mini key in silver and rose gold on the same chain... and the mini tiffany bow.

Then I got this one- it's a little more grown up than the other two and who can say no to sparkly diamonds?! :D the other two have sadly only been worn once or twice since getting my beloved pendant...

I have lots of jewellery (mostly nature/animal inspired) and although I wear different rings and bracelets my every day necklace is my Alex Monroe bee in rose gold.

Please could you post a modeling picture? I am strongly considering this piece, but the price is making me think twice. So a picture may help push me a little. Thank you.

I have a few, but the main one I wear everyday is the Elsa Peretti Alphabet pendant in silver with diamonds, which had a small rose gold Elsa Peretti open heart added to it when it was purchased. I love my necklace!

I am really terrible at taking pictures of myself, so I apologize for the TERRIBLE picture, but at least you will get the idea of what the necklace looks like on. I am quite small-boned (I wear a 6 1/2" bracelet) so the necklace looks a little longer on me than it does on others. Again sorry for the terrible picture quality.

I try to buy versatile jewellery as well that goes with different earrings or buy sets. These are the three necklaces I mainly wear. One goes with silver stuff, the middle goes with a mix and the third I wear with gold.
