^I wear lots of cheap costume jewelry in the shower, and it doesn't turn green (much, much cheaper stuff than that). Some of it gets a patina, but it winds up looking okay.

I think the necklace is super cute! It's very sweet looking, delicate but still has presence. I think it would probably go well with a lot of different outfits.
Personally, I think I'd prefer pearl beads instead of gold beads, though that might up the price.
