from what i hear, leaving it in the front seat of your car on a hut sunny/summer day will do the trick..

it's literally "baking" it in your car, like an oven.. and the sun, and heat will patina it faster and evenly.

i dont care about my patina for stuff.. i let it naturally tan with all the raindrops and watermarks.. i think it adds a great personality to the piece.. :)

So when I get a new bag, can I condition the handles or will that leave dark spots b/c it's new? Can I only use a conditioner when there is a patina?

Also what if there is a light mark or something could I use a magic eraser on new vachetta?

Things I'm wondering

The Apple Conditioner is good to use when your bag is brand new to moisturize the leather prior to using the waterproofing spray. It will appear darker at first, but the leather lightens back up.

I absolutely would not use the magic eraser, especially on new vachetta. It's a very harsh and abrasive product, and must be used with extreme care. I'd only use it as a last resort on handles before replacing them. Use one of the white clicker erasers instead - it will remove most marks, and doesn't harm the leather.
