Glad to know you could walk around comfortably in 40 degrees in Athens, especially being a city- was the breeze good there? Here it's just sweltering when it's 40

It was ok in Athens. I didn’t feel the stifling humidity you can sometimes get in London because it’s a dry heat here. Most places (shops, restaurants, bars etc) all have air-conditioning so a big difference between here and the UK, where very few places have AC as we’ve never really needed it the past. This will likely change as we see temperatures begin to increase year on year.

Sorry, off topic, but this latest headline is bordering on the ridiculous. It seems the scaremongering is increasing as much as the temperature . Now, it is the Daily Mail, so some element of drama is expected .

I've never seen these being in a sale. I know that Mytheresa.com has a small collection of Rimowa but when it is a sale I don't know if Rimowa is excluded like other brands can be.

Hope everyone is doing well. I’m finally in Greece for 3 weeks after my hols were postponed for 2 years due to the pandemic.

Flight out of UK to Athens was pretty smooth with no major issues. Athens is a great bustling city. We booked a room that was within walking distance to all the sights and from our balcony we had a view of the Acropolis.

Louis Vuitton, Tiffany, Hermes, and many designer stores were just one street away from our hotel, but I never made it to any of them as we crammed in tons of sightseeing in and out of the city. One tour we did was an 8 hour round trip by train to visit ancient Orthodox monasteries outside of the city. Apparently the monasteries were featured in a James Bond movie, For Your Eyes Only. It’s very hard to capture in pics these amazing monasteries on huge mountains.

After 5 nights in Athens we flew to Naxos, a very windy island so a lovely, cool breeze all day and night. I’m happy to say my AirTags were such a worthwhile purchase as I could track my luggage from dropping off at the airport and then see it was ‘With Me’ on the plane. I’d ready horrendous stories of luggage left behind and never making onto planes in Greece, so was happy I could track mine, whilst others on the flight were panicking Olof there’s had made it. I really recommend the AirTags if your travelling about a lot within a country. Next we travel to Paros and then Santorini.

Wooooooow your pictures are just spectacular! I was a photographer at an archaeological excavation in Greece near ancient Corinth for a few summers but I haven’t been back since 2007 and I really miss it. Hope you have a wonderful trip!

Oh my! That must have been a wonderful experience for you. It’s hard to think that some of the discoveries are 5th Century BC. I can’t get my head around that . All these years and the remains are still standing.

I visited the national archaeological museum in Athens and some of the statues they have found over the years are huge and many still in tact!

The tour guides we had were like historians. We learnt so much about Greece in the days we spent with them. It was amazing.

That’s wonderful to hear! You are traveling so smart to say the least with air tags and LVs and historical guides. I majored in history (my fav was ancient history) so I just love it! Thanks for sharing your trip with us!

YES, it's the personal clutch in polycarbonate since it is a more carefree material and doesn't dent that easy. Even hubby told me the difference between the materials I chose white. If they would have silver I would have chosen that one since silver trolleys is Rimowa for me. But when I opened the box, I really really like the white color

We have been travelling these last couple of weeks and when checking in, going through security and showing passports and boarding cards at the airport I realized that I needed this type of bag. Since I have a LV backpack when travelling I also needed a bag that is easy to reach and having important documentation near me. I could sometimes go mental with having everything in my backpack, swinging it back and forth to reach my stuff (though looking very stylish)

OMG, that is really overly dramatic , but there are always a few "simple minded" people who manage to get a heat stroke by not using common sense.
They are being dramatic in Germany as well. I think in these things (overexaggerating and complaining) we are very much alike.
