So true!. I stayed at a hotel in Ho Chi Min City where the serving staff at the restaurants provided small stools at the the table especially for bags. I was quite surprised and very impressed. The hotel was managed by a woman so this may have played a part. Yet to see this elsewhere. I never put my bags on the floor and will look for a clean spot for it to “rest” :giggle:. If I can’t it’s on my lap.

I also love this solution at Din Tai Fung - you can even cover your bag, like putting a child to sleep

its seems to be the thick strap... on the pictures it looks really ridiculous..
This makes me a little sad…I was excited about a PM OTG in the pastel, but a wide strap doesn’t sound great, especially if it is another guitar style strap. It is not that I am against fabric straps, but I have quite enough bags with them already! I will try to reserve judgement until I see a high def photo, but “really ridiculous” does not sound promising

I'll just say it. I hate those guitar straps from LV and Prada. I have four of them which I have not used once.

I feel you brnicutie! I know many on TPF have a love hate relationship (or hate hate relationship) with them. I use my MPA and my BTP Papillon with the ones they came with - they are casual bags and I can live with these particular straps. I think the fact that they are the “shiny” nylon-y version of the strap helps. But I have never used the cotton-y ones that came with my Coussin or my Speedy 22b - they look sooooo out of place on these 2 bags IMO. And I just cannot imagine one on a PM OTG .

makes me sad too, I have the OTG PM and it is a good size for shopping, and as I think @lovelyrita mentioned, the PM has normally had a thin strap. That being said, the PM size could use a slightly wider strap, maybe like 1" (2.5 cm or so) and it would not look out of proportion to the bag.

I don't like fabric straps on these bags because I feel for luxury prices, one should receive a quality strap with each bag that will last years, and hold up to use. The fabric ones are going to get dirty, snag, fray or otherwise show wear & tear faster. We all have natural oils and sweat on our hands that transfer to those materials. At least with leather it can be more easily cleaned.

I have bought a few trendy Coach bags from the outlet a few years ago and after a year or so the glazing or the actual straps cracked, poor quality - whereas my Coach bags bought 25 years ago (now vintage ) with full leather straps are still perfectly good (some of those were also bought at an outlet - this was when they sold bags at outlets that were actual overstock, not the made-for-outlet items of today)

Same feelings:frown: I was hoping for another bag a bit bigger then the PSP so the OTG PM sounds perfect. But the idea of it having a thick strap puts me off sooo much, it’s just not my style. And they probably going to charge way to much for it too. I hope the fabric strap is out of style soon so we can say goodbye to that and go back to actual adjustable leather straps:giggle:

I couldn’t agree more  I never put my bags on the floor too! It is just so wrong for me, I do toss my coach bag around and put it on the floor but that’s a different price tag :giggle:

I‘m obviously the only one, but I love the cotton fabric straps! They make such a difference with some outfits/bags and the cotton is very comfortable to wear in the summer. Also I‘ve had no issues whatsoever with snags or stains. This is one of mine, last summer

looks very cute, and of course lots of people must agree with you because they are very popular! Glad you have had no trouble with yours.
