So to the PO's. Green embossing is very light compared to the blue/pink which is actually quite deep. The issue with the blue/pink is there's a problem with the lining which I think has not been sewn in properly or has too much leather? There's a huge wrinkle down the centre which prevents the PO from closing properly. Now do I return and probably not get another one or keep it and live with the wrinkle which will likely get worse with continuous opening and closing .

That is a lovely haul and I am sure you will enjoy them! However, that PO will be returned by me without a doubt.

Not the best pictures but I love it! My first LV (I was more into shoes until COVID hit ). I'm still paranoid about the vachetta! Need to get a twilly or something so I can use it!

The strap is a little short for a cross body but I had planned on buying an extender anyway and maybe a leather strap too.
She's a beauty! Congrats!

Thank you! My head says return. I've already messaged my SA with pics. If she can't get another then it's refund.
I am so sorry about the pink PO - I could not have lived with this problem either (and I am not particularly picky), and I think you are right that over time it will get worse. Fingers crossed for a replacement piece, and a perfect replacement piece at that! But congratulations on the other pieces that you are keeping - what an amazing collection of those pieces!

Congratulations on your first LV bag! You started with a classic with a twist . Enjoy her and don't be afraid of the vachetta. You can always try the patina champ method which involves a "sunning” technique of the vachetta. It provides a base and helps the vachetta to darken evenly instead of having some parts darker than the rest.

Would you be able to get it repaired, if an exchange looks unlikley?

Thanks @Bec Loves Bags . The rest of the pieces are indeed gorgeous. My SA has been fabulous as usual. Firstly, apologizing for the issue and has offered a repair. or refund. She is going to check with Paris and get back to me. I wasn't expecting that it could be repairable so let's see if the workshop agree to do it .

It looks repairable but to do so, they have to remove the stitching all around, set the pockets aside, put in new lining or trim the excess from this one, then restitch the pockets in by sewing around the edge. Not really hard but somewhat time consuming and the new stitches have to cover or precisely reuse the holes made by the original stitching…. So they should just replace!

So we have all heard that LV quality is going downhill… but I’ve got to give it to them, their shopping bags are so strong! My husband was able to carry our 7 year old daughter around the house in it! :lol:
I swear they would make the best grocery shopping bags… but I think I’d get some funny looks packing my frozen goods into LV bags at the checkout

It maybe picture overload! :giggle:

I love, love nearly everything I got. The keepall is stunning and all the pieces are vibrant. The pics don't really capture how they look in person . BUT......the PO's, particular the blue/pink has issues which I didn't notice until just now. I'll post these separately.

Great pictures, everything looks so vibrant! Love them all

On the subject of repairs. I read on the Pics of LV in Action thread that a buyer bought a brand-new nano speedy (old version) two weeks ago and the vachetta chaps were lifting apart from itself. She took it the store for repair and was told the chaps were not available to replace the damaged ones. Surely LV are not short of vachetta. I wonder if they just don’t want to repair a discontinued item. Anyway, they offered a gift card for the cost of the nano speedy, and she got to keep the damaged one. Just something to be aware if you have this bag that it may no longer be repairable.

:roflmfao:. Maybe we should get these instead of canvas bags .

You sounds like an expert on this. Thanks for explaining the process as I didn't think it would be possible to repair. Unfortunately no replacement as it's not orderable. I'll send it for repair and then will inspect it when it's back which could be 2 months .

They are certainly stronger than the plastic bags for life offered in supermarkets! And possibly stronger than the canvas ones too. Imagine the looks we would get though!!
I'm guessing you've seen these. Pretty creative. I think I also saw pics where someone upcycled the LV blue ribbon and dust bags to make clothes.
