I wondered whether they’d do this and make the strap detachable, I’m not really sure why it wasn’t in the first place. On getting mine this is actually one thing that bothers me and it could be a deal breaker.
Might send it back and hold on to see if they come out with a detachable strap. I’ve seen some people cut there’s off and use other straps but I’d never do that

The nano speedy amount which was pending in my bank account is no longer pending... and looks like it has been returned to my account although on my LV account it still shows as PPA :O

I believe 30 days - BUT the system can be a little problematic and actually remove items from your cart before then, especially if they’re items which are consistently out of stock, like the PA. I’ve had it happen to me with the mini pa and it’s not fun

Honestly before receiving my nano speedy today I too wished it was detachable. But after carrying and trying it on today, believe me you don’t wanna carry it just by the handles/on the wrist only (without a strap attached) because it is SO small it actually looks ridiculous lol! It’s like carrying a child’s bag you look quite silly, but crossbody or on the shoulder it looks fine. I guess detachable would give the option to change the style but even then you would only use a thin strap to not overpower the bag so a pochette metis strap would not look good in my opinion. They could have made it adjustable for sure, I don’t like the idea of one size fits all when everyone is a different height but luckily it sits well on me. I would be quite surprised if they come out with a detachable one just because LV love to not listen to their customers lol.
**edit** obviously if you are really fashionable and have an instagrammy vibe you could maybe pull of carrying the bag without the straps but I tried and I giggled at myself in the mirror lol!

Yes I ve heard that too... omg cutting into a Louis Vuitton bag Even if you know that you will never use that strap because it’s too long or too small... I just couldn’t lol
I am sure they will. They are now realising that mini or nano (or whatever they call it) speedy in black empreinte with a removable strap... so why not a monogram one. It’s coming but we just don’t know when. And price will not be the same and be ready to buy it the day it’s released! lol and resell value of all current nanos with that non detachable strap will go down. Looool

I find that they do listen to their customers for popular bags like for the palm spring mini for example they changed the zipper system because everybody was complaining about it.
See pictures of that speedy (it’s actually BB lol) they just want us to buy the expensive version first or spend on the current version and then buy the updated version as well because people will buy the new version even if they have the current one.
And if you follow all the new releases you would notice that now almost all bags come with detachable strap so I smell it coming eventually but that’s just my opinion
Louis Vuitton knows exactly what they are doing. The fact that the bag was not available since May June ish to create demand and « need » and then it’s sooo available on the website and yesterday my sa texted me they finally received one after months of not receiving it either. It’s no coincidence (conspiracy theory lol)

My PA has been shipped!!! Ordered on Wednesday last week and was order in preparation immediately. Shipped first this morning. What a relief!
Fingers crossed for everyone else out there waiting that today things get moving and the PAs are on their way home!
I am going into the London store at Westfield this afternoon to preorder the MPa strap too. What a day! My SA confirmed at the weekend they can now take preorders for it but it will take 3-10 weeks. This means the MPA can now come off my wish list and I can hunt for something else instead!!

Yes- I was able to go instore and preorder. My SA checked the system over the weekend so knew she could order. She asked me if it had been out of stock for a while and this was why I was ordering!! Obviously the store staff are not aware this is new and coming.
So she had no idea of a date it will be available and repeated the system said 3-10 weeks.
the strap is £600 which seems a lot for a strap but when I see the detachable coin purses for sale for $550- I think I would get my money back if it doesn’t work out.
I got the Khaki strap. So excited!!

Omg lucky all of you in the UK!!! Congraaaats!!!! Oh my goodness i am jealous! Well I was also thinking of reselling the coin purse but the more I see how people use it the more I might keeping it but also I noticed that resell value is always better and higher in USA Canada or Australia because everything is more expensive in the first place. Here we can’t ask the same price. I really doubt u could resell that coin purse for 470€ so if I was getting 250€ I’d be happy lol
For example in France or Belgium people are so cheaaaap, you have no idea. They think luxury bags looking brand new cost 150€!!! Smh lol
My sa told me she wasn’t aware. I’ll send her the SKUs at 9AM sharp because I really don’t want to miss out! Jeeeeez Been waiting since July 13th!
