It’s crazy. Who buys this stuff at such a mark up...? Lol I mean I can live without a bag if the price is not rightSadly I think this sort of pricing is driven by the resale market. I see the straps from the multipochette set going for approx US$600 and the coin purse from the set going for US$350-400+ ... ergo when you look at those prices their pricing seems on point

Hey- you mentioned the Collinil spray; did you use the Carbon Pro or the waterproof one? I have the latter but haven’t tried it out yet so would love to hear from someone who has.

The speedy 30 may look small to you now, but honestly it fits the world! I actually find it quite big on me now and wish I had the 25... well I don't know, it's only because small bags are 'in' at the moment so maybe that's why I feel that way. Either way, speedy 30 is the most classic!
Regarding the collinol spray, i have written about my experience with it on another thread but i've copied and pasted what I wrote:
''I have the same one (with the UV protection) and have sprayed it on my neverfull vachetta and vachetta tabs on SLG's with no problem, and they are totally waterproof- i've ran it under tap water just to see, I know I'm mad haha.
Like previous posts, give your vachetta some sunlight briefly maybe a few days or something. Then give the bottle a good shake, spray from a distance evenly in open air outdoors if possible. You'll notice the vachetta goes dark or have uneven dark spots and it freaks you out but it dries within a few seconds and disappears. I once sprayed it on my TP19 vachetta tab on the back and i had a huge blob, looked like an oil stain and I was so gutted but then after 20 minutes it totally disappeared. Doesn't stop it from patina, just protects from rain etc.''

No I haven't done it before. I read a couple of threads of people recommending it to spray their vanchetta. I had already bought some for my mulberry bags so decided to try it and see. So far so good. It disappears after spraying and is wipeable from the canvas.
Yeah it’s really good. I was out for a picnic last week and it started to rain (British weather lol) and not a single mark on the vachetta. I could see the rain drops just rolling off the vachetta from the waterproof spray!
Also sprayed on my PA strap and tab and all good too
The giant monogram speedy was a seasonal piece (summer-19) and quite limited - well a lot more limited than the Escale pieces this year. The only way to get one is through a reseller and, unfortunately as with most LV pieces, the pre-owned prices are ridiculous.

I would only buy my bags brand new as no worry on if they are real etc and paying what you should be paying! I’ll have to take this one on my list then! Xxx
