etiquette on giving gifts to SAs?

I imagine there's threads about this but searching leads to nowhere specifically .. any gift ideas for SAs that aren't food related? Want to get mine something for Xmas but with covid I read most boutiques not accepting food gifts.
Flowers are nice to bring. I did this for Valentine's Day and a special event. I brought cookies earlier this year, before the pandemic, but it will be a longtime before that is allowed again.

A handwritten card is always nice. Also you can double check with them (unless you want it to be a surprise) but depending on your store they *may* be accepting food items.

I'm in NY as well (I'm guessing based on your handle but correct me if I'm wrong ) and my SA mentioned to me a few months ago that they are unable to accept non-perishable items.

That said, I was able to drop off pastries for the staff last month, but was then told by the Ops Manager that they couldn't accept anything more than $100. I showed up with several boxes so had to take some back with me as it surpassed this limit, but was glad they accepted as I knew food would be a gamble. I did show them that the boxes were pre-packaged by the vendor and that the seal was still intact, so I don't know if that made a difference or not.

Hope that helps though!

My go to is a bottle of wine as I usually buy a few cases around this time of year to give out as gifts.

I want it to be a surprise but the card is a great idea I was overlooking. Thank you!

Using this idea - thank you! :)

After getting lucky on my first try with the SA assigned to me in Paris (not FSH), I sent her flowers and chocolates. During my second visit with her, I took her a box of chocolates. I have a trip coming up in a couple weeks, and I am contemplating what to take her this time, since they may not be accepting food related items (though pre-packaged food items may be okay??).

Does anyone gift their Hermes SA something small over the holidays? My relationship with my SA is strictly professional but we always have a great time together. If we didn’t have a “client-sales relationship” I can see myself truly having a friendship with her. I would love to send her a small holiday gift (small box of luxe snacks) to the store but would also hate to be inappropriate or cause any issues for her. Thoughts?

Give through her to share with others. Staff are not allowed to accept individual gifts, not even snacks.

I only give homemade treats, like butter dinner rolls; blueberry lemon poundcake; chocolate hazelnut cinnamon buns; brownies; blondies; chocolate covered toffee; or butter mochi. And only to my local store SA, not my SA at FSH (who told me gifts are not allowed). I do this for my favorite SAs and also for doctors; dry cleaner/ tailor; cobbler; butcher; building staff etc. The gift is simply a gesture of appreciation during the holidays.

Wow, you make all that yourself?!? Impressive. It all sounds so delicious!

To stay on topic, I usually give chocolates, teas or cookies during the holidays to share with everyone. Unfortunately, I'm not a baker so mine aren't the decadent homemade type like 880's.
