Essential Trunk help!

I purchased an Essential Trunk from a LV store and it did not have the netting. They sent it to my home and I asked my SA about the netting. I searched everywhere for an answer on the forums but didn’t get anywhere. My SA sent emails to corporate but didn’t get an answer so I just ended up returning it because I knew it would be hard to sell later on if I wanted to. It is possible that it is authentic but there will always be a “what if” for me. I hope you figure something out! It is a super cute piece.

That’s what my husband said! But really this is my unicorn. I’ve searched everywhere since I first saw it early 2018. I just want to confirm (or find out if it is) that it is real and keep it forever

Is there somewhere you posted other pics of this piece? A few of us have this, so maybe we can help if we saw the exterior shots too. Mine has the design--even the very first trunk to be posted here straight from the boutique had the design. Are you able to tell us the date code?

Yes the date code is GI4118.

Since I did it get authenticated as authentic & received the receipt from LV, I did decide to keep it.

This is a snapshot of the Essential Trunk from the LV website.

I saw this IRL- the full retail version- not VIP gift and I can confirm the interior has the cross-hatch design. Sometimes the gifts are not as elaborate as the full-retail version. If you knew an SA, they might be willing to take a peak at it and give an opinion and confirm whether this was a gift to a customer. But if you doubt it, I would send it back immediately.

I bought one at Poshmark, currently on authentication and has no criss cross design. Not sure yet if it is real. The seller said she was given this by Louis Vuitton as well.
