I totally agree with this and everyone else's comments. Sounds like my MIL to be honest, and yes tuning out is sometimes the only option.... She just doesn't get it even if I explain my views. Not worth it, makes me agitated!

.I agree with everyone's responses on here....also, you and your Fiance are just starting out..remember, that its YOU and HE that come first now, and do your best to ignore, and/or rise above ridiculous comments without getting each other in the middle of parents/inlaws..................:)

Don't let your mom's comment discourage you from such a special time in your life.
Just reassure your bf of what you and him agreed on...besides no one can make YOU feel like "crap" with out your consent ;)
